The future of Greensburg’s historic downtown has always been a concern for many, often leading to passionate opinions and emotional discourse. Some who contribute their minds to the topic live in the city, and some do not—Greensburg and Decatur County are blessed with a number of talented individuals with ties to the area. We need not only to utilize these resources, but also provide an open opportunity for all, at their convenience, to express their thoughts and ideas on the current condition of downtown and how to achieve its full potential. Needless to say, comments should be constructive, absent of any personal diatribes on any one person or group, with the aim of contribution rather than confrontation.
