That kid seems intelligent and well spoken, maybe he'll grow up to be the first black president.

What will you do when the election is over? I hope you have something else to post, since you've worn this out completely. Your emotional approach to this is unexpected. Give it a rest, please.

Why not take a long vacation? We've seen the Republicans for Crooks do the right thing & the Hawkins Historical Society help put the Pool & Sewer quagmires to bed. The WCSCorp's un-academic money-gobbling for its prime priorities of parking lots & closed campus is now constrained with four spanking-new School Boardmembers (by whom we won't be fooled again). Only one re-elected was -- deservedly -- Tree the Hero of '79.

A win for Obama in Indiana isn't a bad encore. If Obama loses, at least we'll know what it felt like for Charlie Harmon & Art Grove when rookie Coach Burl Friddle led their all-frosh squad (more Freshmen than the Fab Five) to the NIT Final & lost vs St John's.

Why a cool Cat clings to bitterness over the demise of St John McCain is the Real Mystery. Sonny Rollins backs Barack, because he respects the teachings of Coltrane & Monk. Meow!

Hey Jethro,
Have you donated to the new splash pool yet?

OK, successful baiting completed! Bitterness over St. McCain? Oh, come on. I've said on this forum before that those of us living in the US full time are in trouble regardless of who wins the election. Your Hatchet/Obama analogy is just plain hilarious! At least you're consistent. Of course Sonny Rollins backs Barack, since he'll be among the throng on the receiving end of free money for no work. Why can't you call it what it is?

In his prime, Paul Desmond could kick Sonny's ass!

You know the answer. Never fear, though, since funds are certain to be redistributed to projects like this. Not in Washington, Indiana, mind you, but in areas where there is zero appreciation for a good handout.

Don't think impressive name-drops like Desmond won't send me scurrying to WikiPedia, where I learned Desmond played w/ Brubeck, who has hit my radar, thank you.

Years ago in that little hut you visited a group of guys used to get together every Wednesday afternoon & catch a radio program called The Jazz Corner whose theme song was a sprightly version of "Take Five." Was that Desmond?

Speaking of saxophones, did you know Costa Rican resident Jimmy Seals (used to partner w/ fellow anti-abortion Bahai'ist Dash Crofts) played the gritty sax on the novelty tune "Tequila"?

Still can't figure out equating Obama as low as past-his-prime McCain. Oh, I get it -- the Arizona connection. Don't let envy of the Class of '79 blind you, Cat. America's moving fast. If/when Obama wins it's very likely our country will never see a President born in the dismal depths of the Depression-era Thirties or the milquetoast Ozzy & Harriet Fifties.

When we & Obama entered Earthspace, the youngest-elected President was Kennedy, born in 1917. He was succeeded by his elders LBJ (1908) & Nixon (1913) & similarly-aged successor Ford (1911) before we got fresher again w/ Carter (1925). We turned the clock back to Reagan (1911) before electing Bush, who was a year older than Jimmy. Then Clinton (1946) broke thru to become the first Baby Boomer President, followed by Bush Jr of the same age.

Our generation is far younger than those early Baby Boomers like Bush & Clinton, free of their Sixties-era hang-ups & Viet Nam obsessions. I'll be the first to admit that Sarah Palin (Class of '82) is not ready for prime time, but that's on account of her snow-white Alaskan upbringing rather than her youth per se.

Simply put, Cat, it's our time. Embrace the moment! Finally we're going to have a baller-President appreciative of the grace & transcendence of Dr J, Rajah, & Bill Walton.

Don't take my word for it -- we can see for ourselves at http://www.ballers4barack.com/

Why don't you check out other websites for more information instead of the Obama Kool-Aid propaganda? Are you afraid your bubble will burst of this false messiah, liar, fraud, and deceiver?

Take Five was Brubeck's signature tune, and yes, it was Desmond on the horn and with the writing credit. How on earth did you squeeze so many distractions into one post? The Arizona connection, a nod to anti-abortion, the Class of 79 and Bill Walton? I think you're high. Who the hell is Rajah?

Not sure if it's "our time" or not, but I am pretty sure Johnny Mac doesn't stand a chance. I am sure that your boy Barack will be a "training wheels" president, so I hope he has good handlers as he'll need them once his flawed policies fail to do what he thinks they will. Reality will hit him right between the eyes, especially when the economy vomits from expanded welfare. I mean redistribution. The population currently living on hand outs that come from the pockets of those who WORK will expand exponentially, and they'll squander the additional monies just as they do now with no positive impact on the economy.

Asalam Alakum, my idealistic friend! I'll be around for the "I told you so."

Nurse Cat, you are right on! For sure our boy Barack will be a training wheels president. Obama’s handlers will definitely be pulling the strings on Obama the puppet. So who’s the puppeteer? You know the Clintons, Bill & Hillary, are waiting behind the curtains salivating, drooling in-fact, at the chance to get their grubby little hands on Obama’s strings.

It would appear this Cat The Nurse franchise has been bought by taciturn Mr Burns or a competitor, eager to pretend it's oh-so unemotional to back McCain & that the superiority of Depends versus Diapers in the White House depends on who's wearing them.

John McCain is so serious he's suspended his campaign a la Perot, chosen an unknown neophyte for Veep because he "doesn't play politics," & declares Mission Accomplished in Iraq even more often than Dick Cheney does these days.

Let's keep it real & avoid envy that a man younger than Kevin ArmStrong sweet-talked his way into becoming the first Prez from the Seventies. Should be a familiar story to you, O fine feline. Student politicians have sharp elbows.

And not to continue the spat, but in another thread a crack is made about my own foreignness. I'm still as West End as can be while conducting the infrequent research mission. Big Tom can attest for my bonafides reciting Johnny Stampanatto stories. Ol' Stompie & the Golden HollyWood Forties.

If we can be ecologically greener in a little grass shack, let's pledge to do so in the future. Your old road is rapidly aging.

I wonder if you have noticed that no one that supports Obama has used such derisive language to describe McCain? It's very telling that most Americans are ready to move on from the devisive politics of the past & I hope that you can join in & not be left behind & bitter!
