I am so proud of our cougars. If you were not at the game or listening on WRZR you couldn't begin to understand the hard fought battle that occurred. These boys were awesome and fought to the end. They served our community well! Way to go Cougar Coaches and Players--you are a class act all the way!

Well said, cougarorange. The gridirondigest posts by some of the players from both sides shows that they are learning more than just football from their coaches. As far as the game itself-WOW!
Daviess county has class acts in ND coach Helms and WHS coach Brashear and their respective staffs.
Thank you both for some exciting football this season and for teaching our young men more than just x's and o's.

i think this article could have been so great. the atmosphere ,if you were there, was amazing. but this just feels weak and heartless. the guys gave everything they could in this game and owned the field for 44min. i am suprised their was nothing written about the meeting of the teams at the 50yard line. they prayed for someone from linton who just had a heartattack on the sideline. never heard or seen anything like this. what class between both teams to put everything aside for someone else. I just felt cheated out of 75cents when i bought the paper.

Not sure why you would expect more from the Times Herald. At least they always have a pretty picture of a sunset or a turtle dove.
