MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) - A radical Islamic group in Somalia said Friday it will fight the pirates holding a Saudi supertanker loaded with $100 million worth of crude oil.
Abdelghafar Musa, a fighter with al-Shabab who claims to speak on behalf of all Islamic fighters in the Horn of Africa nation, said ships belonging to Muslim countries should not be seized. "We are really sorry to hear that the Saudi ship has been held in Somalia. We will fight them (the pirates)," Musa told AP Television News. ______________________________________ Radical Muslims and the US on the same side of an issue for a change. On the same side of defending the anti-democratic Saudi Royal Family whose foreign oil funded the Bin Ladens & bankrolled the Bush family fortune isn't anything to be proud of in our adult lifetimes. Dethroning the House of Saud should be the goal of democracy-spreaders at home & abroad.
Lest we forget the bad old Bush/Clinton/Bush days, the US government was "on the side of radical Moslems" in Afghanistan when the Russian Bear was on the march, as well as on Saddam's side when he fought his proxy Gulf War against the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (w/ whom Reagan 'forgetfully' traded arms) throughout the 1980s. |

Just to stir it a little--
[at the funny part on this issue -- neither us nor the radicals like the idea of "Saud" being hit by pirates] |

Our beloved military-industrial complex adored the Gulf War Saddam fought on our behalf versus the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (w/ whom Odon native Poindexter & the Israelites traded arms for hostages). The House of Saud, like Saddam, is another favorite recipient of the Masters of War's juicy 'defense' contracts. Nipping the military-industrial complex's warmongering in the bud will help dethrone the House of Saud. Another one who'd be better off biting the dust is the Egyptian 'President' of the past 27 years Hosni Mubarak, who assumed power after Sadat was assassinated, making a mockery of democracy amongst those the reckless amongst us call allies. We don't need to invade nor occupy the lands controlled by these dictatorial regimes; just refraining from propping puppets like them up will hasten their demise. |
