It could be just arrogance. Who knows? Another investigator did find an old newspaper with his birth announcement that backed up his birthdate in Hawaii.
I'm not a fan of Obama's, and wish the DNC would have picked more of a populist-type candidate with better experience in working class issues for all Americans, not just special interest sectors.
That said.... McCain has so lost his way, none of us can figure out where he stands on anything anymore... and then he picks a woman who does not even remotely have the educational background, experience or training to step into the 2nd highest office in the land. Geez. She scares me way worse.
Watching the metamorphosis of Obama's campaign, I think he has catered to specific groups for the backing... and I can't read at all whether he really is indebted to these groups, or if he just used them to get ahead. I just do not know.
He is sounding more centrist now, and again, I don't know if that's because he's been paying attention to what Bill Clinton has to say on the issues, of if he's just plagiarizing again. I don't know...
But... I think we needed Dennis Kucinich for working class issues and getting out of nightmare situations with the WTO and NAFTA, we needed John Edwards for his legal background and his entrepreneurship with creating jobs in the green and security sectors, and we needed Elizabeth Edwards working with Hillary on healthcare issues.
It would be nice to think that Obama would be smart enough to tap into these savvy mindsets, including Bill Clinton's ability to rework government and reduce the deficit again... but I just do not know.
I do know that McCain is lost and doesn't know which direction to head, and Palin is just a little pageant winner who likes to cheerlead the crowds full of hate against dark-skinned people and wink a lot. Blah.
Sad situation we've come to in this election season.
IMO, of course.

quote: The one on the internet could of been real or not, it is not certain. Yes there are other issues, but this thread asked our opinion on this issue.
Yes, and my opinion was that in the larger scheme of things, it does actually detract from the issues that are important. A smoke screen laid down, to keep people from investigating the issues and instead chasing after a birth certificate.

I didn't find what I was looking for but I did find the website that says even if you are born out of the united states, and one parents is a U.S. citizen, it is only a matter of paperwork to have you declared a citizen of the united states. You would still be a natural born citizen, not a naturalized one. If this weren't so, the children of armed forces families living abroad would all have to be naturalized. Obama's mother was from Wichita KS, which last I heard was in the U.S. Her citizenship would render him a citizen if all paperwork was filed, had he been born out of the U.S. which still hasn't been proved. Here is the link. http://www.greencardlawyers.com/citizenship/citizenbybirth.htmlI am not an Obama follower, but I do feel this is just a bit much. I save all my name calling for dealing with the mud tracking idiots all day long. I think lots of naughty names a lot.

i think the American people need to be able to trust, the person they will elect to the highest position in our country. personally, i don't trust eight er one of them.during president clinton's run,Hillary couldn't get a health care anything, for the American people. she had the backing of the president, and the majority of the tax payers. what makes anyone think, Obama can get a health care package passed ?? what makes anyone believe Obama is the savior of the united states?? then there's McCain, who seems to be border line senile.both of them scare me. when November comes around, i'll probably have to flip a coin.
