ConfusedWHY DOESN'T BARACK OBAMA JUST SHOW HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND CALM THE FEARS OF MILLIONS OF AMERICANS?
-----------------------------------------------
This argument can easily be resolved by the DNC and/or Barack Obama - so why the cover-up? Why fight the request for an ORIGINAL copy of his birth certificate provided by the State of Hawaii - where he was allegedly born? Please watch this video and pass it on - it is important.

I don't understand the arrogance of someone who does not think they have to play by the rules. It is not unreasonable to ask to see his BC. I personally don't want anyone who is not a native american for Pres, or someone who won't confirm it. It is an outrage.

It could be just arrogance. Who knows? Another investigator did find an old newspaper with his birth announcement that backed up his birthdate in Hawaii.

I'm not a fan of Obama's, and wish the DNC would have picked more of a populist-type candidate with better experience in working class issues for all Americans, not just special interest sectors.

That said.... McCain has so lost his way, none of us can figure out where he stands on anything anymore... and then he picks a woman who does not even remotely have the educational background, experience or training to step into the 2nd highest office in the land. Geez. She scares me way worse.

Watching the metamorphosis of Obama's campaign, I think he has catered to specific groups for the backing... and I can't read at all whether he really is indebted to these groups, or if he just used them to get ahead. I just do not know.

He is sounding more centrist now, and again, I don't know if that's because he's been paying attention to what Bill Clinton has to say on the issues, of if he's just plagiarizing again. I don't know...

But... I think we needed Dennis Kucinich for working class issues and getting out of nightmare situations with the WTO and NAFTA, we needed John Edwards for his legal background and his entrepreneurship with creating jobs in the green and security sectors, and we needed Elizabeth Edwards working with Hillary on healthcare issues.

It would be nice to think that Obama would be smart enough to tap into these savvy mindsets, including Bill Clinton's ability to rework government and reduce the deficit again... but I just do not know.

I do know that McCain is lost and doesn't know which direction to head, and Palin is just a little pageant winner who likes to cheerlead the crowds full of hate against dark-skinned people and wink a lot. Blah.

Sad situation we've come to in this election season.

IMO, of course.

I wish the most important issue of this whole election were simply the problem of a birth certificate. But it isn't, there are so many more important issues. Why are we sweating over this? Sounds like straining at gnats to me.

My confusion is that with an issue that is so easily resolved by producing the official Bc, it will all be taken care of. Why is this a problem? I expect an answer to the question. The one on the internet could of been real or not, it is not certain. Yes there are other issues, but this thread asked our opinion on this issue. I will not deflect it by going into other details. It does not change the fact that this should and could be finished by producing the BC for the public. That is JMO

Yes, and my opinion was that in the larger scheme of things, it does actually detract from the issues that are important. A smoke screen laid down, to keep people from investigating the issues and instead chasing after a birth certificate.

Yes Magee, but it wouldn't be necessary if obama just took care of it. Why does he not have to?

It wouldn't be necessary if a whole lot hadn't been made out of this either.
Obviously, we are not going to agree on this.
I am going to do some research to see if at the time of filing one has to show their credentials.
I will let you know what I find.

I was Googling on public school requirements, and there is a requirement of a birth certificate. I wonder if our birth certificates had to be presented when we first entered school back in the dark ages?

Also, I remember entering college back in the stone ages was quite a hassle. I don't remember if we had to show a birth certificate, but I remember the required physicals and vaccinations...

I didn't find what I was looking for but I did find the website that says even if you are born out of the united states, and one parents is a U.S. citizen, it is only a matter of paperwork to have you declared a citizen of the united states. You would still be a natural born citizen, not a naturalized one. If this weren't so, the children of armed forces families living abroad would all have to be naturalized. Obama's mother was from Wichita KS, which last I heard was in the U.S. Her citizenship would render him a citizen if all paperwork was filed, had he been born out of the U.S. which still hasn't been proved.
Here is the link.

I am not an Obama follower, but I do feel this is just a bit much.
I save all my name calling for dealing with the mud tracking idiots all day long. I think lots of naughty names a lot.

Perhaps the next question will be for him to submit some DNA so we can see if he has the DNA of a jackal instead of a human.

Every nasty rumor and name calling has been thrown at Obama and he still is leading in the polls. The internet rumors are getting to be joke and my email inbox is full of crap people forward knowing that it is most likely made up. I swear that I don't know what it is about this election that has people so stirred up that they claim one candidate may be the Anti-Christ and a Muslim terrorist. The Replublican spammers will surely be embarrased if McCain is defeated by such an outrageous candidate. I don't know why most people won't admit that this comes down to the almighty dollar. Rich people are afraid they may have to pay a little more in taxes if Obama wins. Most Americans will pay less. The economy, the war, outrageous health-care costs, very screwed up banking practices, and world opinion of the USA should be what is important. The last eight years have been a fiasco and I am not blaming it all on Bush. All of the Washington screw-offs should be canned and lets start over. Still if Obama wins then I can't see how the direction of the country would be much different then when Clinton was the Prez. Clinton although imoral was not too bad of a President. At least not too much bad happened to the country and he/they at least challenged the health-care industry. One last thing. How could anybody be agaisnt universal health insurance for everybody ? They spend a lot more than this will cost on other unimportant crap.

i think the American people need to be able to trust, the person they will elect to the highest position in our country. personally, i don't trust eight er one of them.during president clinton's run,Hillary couldn't get a health care anything, for the American people. she had the backing of the president, and the majority of the tax payers. what makes anyone think, Obama can get a health care package passed ?? what makes anyone believe Obama is the savior of the united states?? then there's McCain, who seems to be border line senile.both of them scare me. when November comes around, i'll probably have to flip a coin.
