My husband was in a wreck this morning around 10:30 on hwy 34 headed towards Vici. He was traveling around 30 mph and when he was coming down the hill, the trailer he was hauling slid and ended up flipping off the truck, sending his pickup sliding. Doing donuts on the hwy, then flipping a few times into the ditch. My husband and I would really like to thank the good people who stopped to help him and keep him warm. As well as calling for help and waiting for paramedics to arrive. Without these wonderful people being there, we don't know what would've happen. My husband may not be here now. Thanks so much to ALL of you who helped to save his life. Because of you my husband is home tonight with me and our two small children.. We cannot express enough the gratitude we feel towards them. We are soooo glad to know that there are still great people in the world.... that will literally give the coat off their backs to save the life of another person.

Angel Eyes, the reasons you just gave are why I still reside in Northwest Oklahoma. People do care about each other, whether they know the individual or not. Everyone needs to remember to thank those that are out there "on the line" protecting us everyday, Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS personnel. |

He is doing very well. No serious injuries. Just a really sore. As to be expected. The person who first called it in, said it was a fatality. Hubby had on his seat belt. Which I'm sure was also a lifesaver. However in the condition the truck was in, had it rolled once more, he would've been cut in half. The entire drivers side was crushed, the door folded over his lap, and the drivers visor was all the way down on the center console. He's very lucky. I'd also like to say thanks to all the people who have called and come to see him... including his employer. The owners of the company he works for as well as the other employees were very scared for him too. It's like one big family up there. It's nice to have hubby working for such wonderful people.

That he did. Just found out from MIL that it's in the front page today. Does anyone know yet what caused the fire at J&R?

I was outside my mom's house about a mile away and felt the explosion. They said on the radio there were no injuries and they have the fire contained to the one tank battery that exploded.

I just talk with my hubby who works right behind J&R. Appartenly they were trying to thaw out a trailer using an open flame and caught it in fire, which led to the explosion. Not sure if this is true or if anyone was hurt |

I think it's great there are still people out there that are good samaritans! There should be more acts of kindness like that in the world. I am thankful for you that everything turned out okay.
