Day went real well. Hand got a little sore but never actually hurt bad. People were nice and glad to see me or so they said. Things were kind of disgustingly dirty as the boss man don't do a hot job while i am gone. The sink in the break room hadn't been washed out for two weeks. yuck. I bleached it as soon as I saw while putting up my lunch. There was a lot of nmob to snoop into. I will have full days the rest of the week, and then I might be caught up by then. I will be exerting my authority later in the week and having people get their old food out of the breakroom fridge. LOL I am at full rule once again!

Wilmar just reading the directions for the wheat pie was tiring. I would have decided it was oh so not worth it when I found out how long it actually took to do it!

Magee I'm glad I don't work in your path....LOL

It's a busy time for me at work. I have a love/hate relationship with the end/first of the month. It's always so hectic with deadlines, but I like to stay busy it makes the day go faster.

My current & most important deadline is Christmas. I've got so much to do!!! There's too many family birthdays in this month and we're expected at all of them. The first being last night with more to come. MIL came down sick so I'm helping take care of her.
I guess mmob will be a piece of cake this month!

Yes, the wheat pie sounds incredibly time-consuming... and no offense, because I know Wilmar makes the best pie crusts, and her apple pies are premo... but...

I am wondering if the Italians intended the wheat pie as a special Christmas treat for the livestock. Has anyone researched this? Big Grin

WEll, if you had left half eaten food in the fridge for two weeks in the breakroom you would be in big trouble. I sent the email out today chiding everyone, and telling them I would be throwing all leftovers in the trash Friday.

It sounds like family obligations will keep you hopping for awhile this month. Be sure and take some time for yourself, SEEn2 so you don't get worn out.
Wilmar and I got so tired taking care of my mom and dad through their final illnesses that I bet it was a year before we kind of felt human again. I still about scream any time the phone rings after ten p.m.
I tried to mmob but it didn't work out, so I snooped in the courthouse Christmas tree. It is put together but we are awaiting new lights to come in Friday so we can finish it up.
There is nice Christmas tree outside on the lawn of the courthouse. It is large and decorated by cox cable. It is the hospice tree of life. We have it out there every year.

Harumph! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gone to that much trouble for my livestock. I had actually had wheat pie once several years ago and liked it. However, it was at a very lean time, so maybe my tastes have changed considerably!

I think age also changes your tastebuds. A lot of stuff I used to like no longer appeals to me.

I had bought some kind of cereal made by Kashi the other day, and was "attempting" to munch on it... and it smelled a lot like the old hay barn, so I had to toss it. Of course, probably that would be a lot healthier fare. Smiler

Freethinker,

Tastebuds do change. For eons I could not stand steamed broccoli. Then, on a whim, I ate some just for kicks. Now...I swear I could eat a bushel basket of it every meal. Just love the stuff!!!

I really like the Bird's Eye baby broccoli, as it is more tender and no stalks. It's very good sauteed in olive oil with onions and a little brown rice tossed in sometimes.

Hey, you all--I've stayed away too long MMOB!

So now I'll mind yours!

Are you all getting ready for Christmas now that we got Thanksgiving behind us?

PS Have you tried the broccoli salad with raisins, sunflower seeds, onions and bacon with a miracle whip ,sugar and vinegar dressing. It is delicious!

Yes, I love that! Most people in my family don't though, so I have to eat it when I find it somewhere else though.
My favorite green salad is the one made with cabbage and ramen noodles. Kind of an oriental cole slaw, with a a vinegary dressing.

As far as taste buds changing, don't think I will ever like green peas though.

GGG, how did the election come out?

I love all kinds of veggies and now with the steamer types you pop in the microwave, I eat a lot more of them.
I think my favorite veggie salad is the broccoli & cauliflower salad they have at K-Bobs. I wish I knew how they make the creamy sauce. It tastes so light and not real heavy on any one flavor to mask the flavor of the veggies.

GG it's good to see you back! I have a lot of my Christmas shopping done, but still have more to do. I need to get my Christmas stuff out of the attic and get my tree up.

Yall have a great day and try to stay warm.
