We've been having some more abuse on the forums lately. PLEASE, read this, take it to heart while you're on here.

The basic rules for discussions on our forums are simple:

1. Keep it clean
2. Keep it legal
3. Be respectful of each other.

POLICIES:

1. We encourage the free and open exchange of ideas in a climate of mutual respect. Any action by a participant that infringes on another participant's right to use and enjoy this bulletin boards is prohibited. You agree not to harass other participants or knowingly display any false, defamatory, abusive, obscene, threatening, racially offensive, sexually explicit or illegal material on the service.

2. You may not permit any other person to access discussions for any purpose using your account, ID or password.

3. You may not post messages or links to data, images or programs that are obscene or pornographic.

4. You may not upload any messages, data, images or programs that violate the property rights of others, including unauthorized copyrighted text, images or programs, trade secrets or other confidential proprietary information, and trademarks or service marks used in an infringing fashion.

5. You may not publish any information, software or other content that contains advertising or any solicitation of other members to use goods or services. Any charity requests must reside in the Charities forum. The board administration does not review the status of any charity groups requesting assistance.

6. You may not use the facilities and capabilities of of this site to conduct any activity or solicit the performance of any illegal activity or other online activity that infringes on the rights of any other member.

7. Site users have no expectation of privacy in connection with regard to the entry, creation, transmission, receipt or storage of data via this forum.

8. Access to this site's registration through most freely available e-mail accounts is limited or prohibited. Users should register using a POP e-mail account to ensure access to the site. We reserve the right to delete any thread or post. We will not moderate or edit posts.

Are you the moderator of this forum? If not can you point me in the right direction as I am looking for info about establishing a moderator. Thanks.

Please review PatrioticAmerican's "Recent Posts". What is her/his problem? Confused

Pat, Ben may not see this immediately, so I'll give you a quick synopsis to keep you from thinking he can 'deliver' you from your problems in your forum.

RTaylor is the mod for the Local threads, while Ben and Taylor are both mods of the Headlines. They are employed by our local newspaper, The Meridian Star. They are not mods for Hey Martha.

Probably the best thing for you to do is talk to your hometown paper about a local mod and put the person you are having a problem with on ignore. Remember, when you continue to negatively respond to them, you are half the problem.
