Why would it surprise anyone that this happened here. With the upcoming election including a black presidential candidate it seems I can't go anywhere without someone mentioning the fact that they won't vote for a black candidate. Racism is rampant here. Being married to someone of a different race really brings it to your attention. Wake up!!!

Sure, there are racist everywhere. I just thought that that sort of behavior had passed. I know things like that went on in the past,but we have been changing thru the years. These people do not represent the majority of folks here. that I can tell you.

The man charged in the cross burning has only been here about a year. He is originally from Louisianna.

These are not men they are little boys in big bodies that like to stir up trouble

I think it's an Iron Cross, which has something to do with Germany. Probably pretty easy to Google up the history on that.

When the crown prince was just a bitty baby 17 years ago, we doctored in Shattuck. One day while waiting to see a doctor, we were interrogated by a woman who was also waiting. She wanted to make sure we hadn't moved into her neighborhood, and that her neighborhood had remained racially pure.

He was promptly arrested by the local police after the prince got home and told me the story. That man had to go to court and listen to
"that welfare brat" testify against him. He also had to pay for the repairs to the bike. He then elected to start some more trouble by saying the prince had pulled a knife on his child. After being interviewed quite a while by the police, the whole case was turned over to the city atty, who declined to file any further charges.
So fat sloppy woman I may be, but no welfare around here. Also, smart enough to let the police do the work for her.

I remember way back when Donahue still had a talkshow, he had several Klanspeople on (and their children), to discuss their superiority and what their beliefs were about...

The Grand Poohpah was this backwoods guy, with unusually short arms, who talked with a lisp... We-ah the-peh-we-uh...

I know it's really not funny, but I was ROTF at what they believed represented the "superior race."

Still... it really is hard to believe that grownups can be so cruel to a child, just because of their skin color.

Thats a Maltese Cross which bears no hatred towards ethnic groups or anything for that matter. The eight points are said to symbolize the eight points of courage.

Irene - From what I can see of the tatoo, it appears to be a WWII German Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. Here is a link with pics. Look at them and see, but that is what it appears to be.
