A very odd question...but are there any boulders around this area? Boulders, granite or lots of big rocks?

I think there are some up at Alabaster Caverns, near Freedom.

I think there are several areas of them around, but the description would have to be more specific.

I am thinking it would be illegal to take them from Alabaster Caverns. If you go to Kansas, in the Medicine Lodge there would be the Gyp HIlls, and off towards Emporia would be the Flint Hills. These are never ending sources of large rocks and boulders, although people might not appreciate someone just traipsing on to their property to take rocks, boulders, etc.

I know there's some in and around the Quartz Mountains near Altus. It's only a 2 - 2 1/2 hr drive from here. I seen a bunch at the base of the mountains just before you get into Granite.

Was that the goal, to haul off boulders? LOL.

There are areas of them all over the place, locally.

I've seen some I'd like to have past Bouse Junction a ways, but it'd take heavy equipment to move them... and I think the heavy equipment operator would get really annoyed with me going.... "no, a little more to the right, now backwards a bit.... no, no... back to the left."

No, Freethinker....the goal was not to haul off some boulders! LOL

I was following a lead, and needed to know where boulders could be located in our area.

Thanks for everyone's input!
