Picture of Disgusted with our board

These are the contact numbers for the four candidates running for the Avon School Board.

Do you know what solutions they have or are working on for your children?
Do you know what ideas they have to improve our graduation rate, our low SAT averages, our 25 percent ISTEP failure rate? Would you like to ask them why they built an almost 4 million dollar administration center while our kids go to overcrowded schools and learn in overcrowded classes? Would you like to know why we have fifty percent more busses at 75-85 thousand dollars a bus to transport almost the same number of students Brownsburg transports at taxpayer costs. Would you like to know why we have almost twice as many bus administration to do the same job Brownsburg does at taxpayer expense? Would you like to know why middle and high school grade scales are lower than elementary and intermediate. Lower expectations for the higher level students make sense to you?

These are the four candidates and their phone numbers. Call them and ask them what they plan to do for Avon's kids and taxpayers if elected for four years to our school board. Does it make sense to vote for someone when you don't know why they did what they did and what they plan to do to improve our schools for our kids in the areas that need vastly improved?

Mark Buckley 272-1422
Anne Englehardt-272-7759
Tracie Kalish-272-1033
Kim Woodward-272-6580

You might have a problem getting answers from Kim or Mark as Mrs. Woodward has said it is against board policy for board members to personally answer letters and phone calls of Avon patrons. They have to speak through the school superintendent. Wonder why since we didn't elect him but we did elect them to answer our concerns and problems. Anyhow. contact them and ask them what solutions they have for our growing academic and economic problems in Avon. Does it make sense to vote for someone that may not have solutions for our serious problems in Avon?
