Just wondering if anyone has contacted any of the candidates to see what they plan to do to improve grad rates, ISTEP and SAT scores, alleviate overcrowding, build a larger learning center so we don't have to waste millions more in the near future, and how they plan to cut waste in their budget by assessing their system expenditures? With our 275 million dollar debt they should have some answers for all the above

It would be interesting what their plans are to improve our system if elected or reelected.

They may not answer me but they should be willing to answer you unless they feel they already have it in the bag.

Would also be interesting to find out if any of the candidates have knocked on your door to introduce themselves and answer any concerns you might have, or sent out flyers explaining about themselves to you. Only a week to go before election day so thought surely some of them had contacted you by door knocking or by flyer.

No one to date has knocked on my door for any county offices. You will find it is the 'Good Old Boy' system in Hendrick's county where as the next seccessor is chosen rather than elected by the good folks who pay taxes and their salaries. I have lived in Avon for 16 years now and it has not gotten any better.

Was wondering if it was just me as it seems in the 11 years my family and I have been here it has been the good old boy system controlling our school board and making a mess of it from the statistics. What is even sadder to my family and me is that Avon continues to put them back for four more years of the same bad leadership that has gotten us into the mess we are in currently. We need change and solutions. I am also beginning to think we need a new superintendent. For a man with a PHD in education, he seems to be right with them in their thinking. Maybe it is a case of keeping your job instead of putting your foot down and saying the opposite. Thanks for sharing your observations on politics in Avon. Much appreciated.
