First of all, my congratulations to Mrs. Woodward, Mrs. Englehardt, and Mrs. Kalish on their appointments to the Avon School Board. All three of you know the overwhelming problems Avon has. Now let's see if you can all come together to find a way to solve them as a board.
Instead of talking about Avon schools being the best in the state, lets see if you can get our schools in the top ten of the state. Find out what is causing our low grad rates, weak SAT and ISTEP composite scores, and be wiser overseers of our tax dollar expenditures and better building planners.
Most important, be personally responsive to patrons and answer the concerns personally. We did not elect you to speak through the superintendent, we elected you to answer our concerns and issues personally. If you still refuse to do so, we have two new board members and will work hard to find replacements for those who refuse to realize they are our servants, the overseers of our tax dollars, and should be first and foremost about our kids and the taxpayers.
Again my sincerest congratulations to Mrs. Woodward, Mrs. Englehardt, and Mrs. Kalish on their election to Avon's school board. Now correct what is wrong in Avon's schools for the good of our kids and those of us who pay the bills.

Good luck to all of you elected officials, and more importantly, THANK YOU WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP AND AVON FOR SENDING A MESSAGE TO OUR SCHOOL BOARD THAT YOU WANTED CHANGE AND OUR BOARD WAS NOT DOING IT'S JOB BY PUTTING ON TWO NEW MEMBERS.

The people have spoken. Will our board listen or go back to the way they have been doing things which isn't working? I believe they will listen and I hope for their sakes and our kids sakes they got the message.
