What are these people even doing here? STOP and think for one friggin minute, IF these Spanish speakers can not understand any ENGLISH, and they are appearing in court for whatever reason, it is BEYOND a good bet that they are I L L E G A L aliens, NOT "undocumented" migrants, NOT "paperless immigrants", but straight up ILLEGAL ALIENS, period, end of story. If they ARE here on a "legal" visa of one type or another, and they have committed a crime (which violates the terms of their visa) that they MUST appear in COURT for, Why does the TAX-PAYERS have to pay for the INTERPRETER for the Illegal Alien Foreign National? Call the closest Consolute and tell them that one of their soon to be re-patriated citizens is going to be needing an intrepreter and on which day, if one shows up, cool, otherwise, they can do the best they can with what they have to work with. If you were in MEXICO or someother South of the Border cess-pool of a country, do you think for one friggin minute that they would get you an interpreter? So why should we? For this supposed Judge to say that it isn't her job to determine "Legal or Illegal" immigration status for the purely Spanish speakers that enter her court is way beyond ridiculus. She is GUILTY of Aiding and Abetting Illegal Immigration each time she does not REMAND these defendants without bail to the county lockup as serious Flight risks. hell, if an American Citizen goes into her court room, and is NOT a resident of that county, and has no ties to the community, do you think she would allow some trivial bond for them? NO! So why are these "Spanish Speakers" getting the Royal Treatment? Keep American Justice American and either speak English in court or pay for your own interpreter, NOT AT TAX-PAYER EXPENCE!!!!!

That's a fantastic idea. People under house arrest are required to pay to rent their monitoring equipment. People with too many DUIs, that have to put the breathalizers on their steering columns, have to pay to rent that equipment too.
Making the illegals pay for their own interpretors isn't too much of a stretch.
you've solved the problem but I don't think it would reduce the crimes they commit.

...or maybe if they had to pay for their own interpreter, they'd learn to speak English. Better yet, if they break the law, send them back where they came from.
