Oh my God, Ottumwan. You are such a DORK! Ah hahaha! I think you work at the paper and hate your co-workers. You just seem to know so much about journalism, and never have anything nice to say about them.
Awards don't come from the corperate office? Since when? Chevy gives out awards next door to where I work, ReMax gives out awards, insurance companies give out awards to their locals. It's in the business section of paper all the time! Of course, there's probably only 50 newspapers at Courier Headquarters in New York (or whatever) but still, to beat papers all over is pretty cool for little old Ottuwma. Give the kid the kudos he deserves. And it is a decent web site.
Did your web site get turned down for the corperate award, Ottumwan? Why aren't you posting at the Ottumwa Forum? Why do you nit pick at YOUR newspaper? Are you an intern there? The janitor? Angry because your name appeared in the police reports? Way to go Matt Niles! Now work on making the paper the best in the business, ok?
