- one big big reason for Congress` low 9%approval rating? Pelosi took Impeachment off the table. For those of us who cherish the Constitution[ and are mystified why people like you DONT] this was an egregious violation of principle, what with only a dozen or so reasons to impeach certainly applicable to Bush that were far more serious than ,uh,blue dresses for Ken Starr and co.
You love this country but dont love the Constitution? Why do you hate your country so much to wish for the destruction of the document and all it stands for? For if you are an American, party hack loyalty shouldn`t mean you applaud the ruination of said document, and since your party is the one out to ruin it... Criminals and crooks, hands down, deserve Impeachment..

what part of "faked intelligence to support war" dont you comprehend?
Or "Osama Bin Laden To Strike In USA" dont you get?

Read the 9/11 Commission report. Specifically read about the serious cuts in budgets for intelligence during the Clinton years. The reliance on satellite and electronic intelligence instead of "boots on the ground" intelligence. Then read how long it takes to reverse those cuts, recruit, train, and insert in undercover capacity. Ask yourself why the intelligence was so faulty after thinking about this.

Then recall Sec. of State Colin Powell addressing the United Nations with satellite pictures of suspicious vehicles and sites that were believed by the world to be production or transport of weapons of mass destruction.

Then recall the 17 ignored and rebuffed U.N. Resolutions calling on Iraq to disarm and allow international inspections to verify same. (HALT! POLICE! DROP YOUR WEAPON OR I'LL SHOOT! Note: Repeat 16 more times before firing).

What I will not argue is the failure of the planners to hold the land, enforce the borders, and secure the peace after we rolled through the country. It allowed Al Queida to jump in behind and wreck havoc. But the first reason we went in was to enforce the U.N. Resolutions, after 17 ignored and rebuffed "warnings".

Maybe we should have just invited them all over to the White House for kool aid and cookies to talk this out.

Obviously you see it as something cynical, greedy, and self-serving. As I examine the historical record I don't agree with you. That's what makes this such a great country.

As soon as I find evidence Israel uses their chemical or biological weapons on their own citizens in their northern provinces. Wink

This is one of those debates that are circular in nature, no matter what is presented, good little Republicans will defend this ill fated war as just. I think Sadam should have been taken out in the first Gulf War but logic was used, that same logic didn't prevail with Junior. The misguided justification came as the result 911. Iraq, side tracked the fight against the real threats to the United States and in doing so caused a void for growing unrest in the Mideast.

And yes, it's good Sadam is gone, but what was left has the potential of being even worse.

I dare you to prove that I am currently a registered Republican. In fact, I double dare you.

Proof again that some posters have absolutely no idea what the facts are.

True to form again, your registration or lack thereof means nothing. It's your thoughts and words that speak volumes.

Bailey's follow up comment: "your registration or lack thereof means nothing."

What's the point of you singling out a specific political party and in the next breath say registration in that party means nothing?

"It's your thoughts and words that speak volumes." You don't have to be a registered member to vote or act the part. I won't try to explain it any further. Going out to enjoy the day.

I have this strange gut feeling that if this administration really wanted to catch bin Laden, it would have happened. Personally, I don't think he should be captured. I think he should he terminated in a very quiet way with no acknowledgement that it happened. No publicity and no fanfare.

and I agree with you,Dick... if Bin Laden owed the IRS,say,$560.-, they would`ve tracked him down in about a week, regardless where he was on the planet.
I personally would be ok if they stuck his head on a pike and allowed a flock of hungry ravens to peck it to dust.

Cleve...I understand your viewpoint and don't really disagree. I just don't want the SOB to become some big martyr so that is why I think he should be terminated quietly and disposed of quietly.

Here is more doublespeak by the Sarah Palin and the Republicans. Palin talks about drilling in ANWR, while the party removes it from the platform. I guess drill drill drill was nothing more than the same old Washington D.C. Republican bullhockey.

Bloomberg.com is reporting at this minute the Dated Brent Spot price on crude is down $1.34, trading last at $101.46/barrel.

Why drill when what we need is available?
