I'm sure Hawkeye will give you more detailed/better pointers, but here's a quick way:
1) get the URL of an image you want to post, like
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z69/kirkaa/cake.jpg
2) put "[IMG]" and "[/IMG]" at the start and end (without the quotes)
3) you should see something like this after you click "Post Now"

or, if you use something like photobucket, just copy the 'img' & paste it!
