As Wayne up in Alaska and I posted on another thread, I think this is "high time" for these young men to be seen as part of the Rams' talent base.

My congratulations to Scott Gamber( Lord, he looks like his Dad!) and my best wishes to those who enable him to take this time to work with the kids who, until recently, have been the "poor relations" when it came to Rams' teams.

As a former 'county boy' I applaud Gamber for going this extra mile. It's amazing what kind of energy Jr. High kids get out of a visit from the high school coaches.

Coach Gamber comes from good stock and I know all of us old timers wish him the best as he goes in to his first season as the head coach. I am sure he is more than up to it and it will be a learning experience. The X's and O's won't be an issue, it will be all the other issues that goes along with coaching that will challenge him. Good luck Coach and you've got a lot of people that you don't even nkow pulling for you....some as far away as Alaska.
Germann you are so right, getting a visit from the HS coach goes a long way with young the JH age boys. All the boys enter HS with such eagerness and energy. Its a matter of shaping them and directing that energy in a positive way. As was Coach Creel, Scott will be a great role model for these young men.
