John McCain is getting much more than President Bush's endorsement and fundraising help for his campaign. He’s getting Bush's staff.

a. This forum is general and does not exclude political topics.
b. This thread is political as the title indicates. c. If you don't want to read about the latest McSame flip-flop don't read this thread. I suggest you start your own thread to talk about his gala BBQ's with the journalists that happen to be NOT reporting things he does that are bizarre, incredible, senile, angry, vulger, or illegal. |

1 Bill Clinton lied to voters at their rallies and said he had been opposed to the Iraq war from the start.

Random Hillary Clinton Lie Quotes
"I actually started criticizing the war in Iraq before (Obama) did." Hillary Clinton on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 in Eugene, Ore. As first lady, Clinton would travel to places that were "too small, too poor or too dangerous" for the president. Hillary Clinton on Monday, March 17th, 2008 in Washington, D.C. McCain's "plan for the economy is to extend George Bush’s tax cuts for billionaires and give a $100-billion additional corporate tax cut." Hillary Clinton On Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 in Philadelphia. "I remember landing under sniper fire." Hillary Clinton On Monday, March 17th, 2008 in Washington, D.C. Obama voted for "tax subsidies and giveways" that have slowed oil companies from pursuing clean energy sources. Hillary Clinton On Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 in a campaign rally in Harrisburg, Pa. |

February 22, 2008 Obama Lies A few points: Lieutenants command platoons. Captains command companies. The U.S. Army would not, under any circumstance, split up a rifle platoon and ship half of them to Iraq and the other half to Afghanistan. They train to work as a team. This simply would not occur, ever. There has never been a shortage of weapons or ammunition for U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan. On occasion, American forces (especially Special Forces) have used Soviet weapon designs, but they have done so by choice, not necessity. In the clip above, everything Barack Obama said was a lie... probably including the part where he said he spoke with an Army Captain (has anyone checked to seek if Deval Patrick spoke with Jesse McBeth?). This leaves us with two possibilities. Barack Obama is a liar. He (or someone he plagiarized) simply made the tale up out of the whole cloth. Barack Obama is a rube. Anyone with any sense of how the military works at all would immediately sniff this out as a series of false stories. Perhaps Barack Obama, the man who would be Commander in Cheif, is so ignorant of all matters military that he could be easily fooled by a fraud. Neither possibility says anything good about Obama. Update: Over at ABC News Blog , Political Punch, Jake Tapper gets in touch with the officer in question and states that Obama's claim was therefore true. |

I would like to point out that another supporter of John McCain is in hot water. John McCain recommended this individual to be the person to run the national convention. Now, Doug Goodyear, the CEO of the lobbiest firm DCI Group has had to resign from that post because he helped promote the junta that is currently obstructing aid to the people of Myanmar. Oh, and his company also represented Burma's military junta and made over 3 million dollars last year promoting ExxonMobile.
You can call this more spam if you like, but I call it more facts that indicate what John McCain says and what he does are not the McSame. Voting for John McCain will be voting for oil and energy lobbiests. He says he is a 'straight shooter' but in fact he is the opposite. Most of the major players in his campaign are from heavy hitting lobbiest firms. He squealed like a pig about the Clintons and their tax histories being made public but now that the shoe is on the other foot he is against it. His wife has flat refused to release her tax filings. Do we really need another two-faced liar for President? |

IN 2007, A Pakistani immigrant who hosted fundraisers for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton became a target of the FBI allegations that he funneled illegal contributions to Clinton's political action committee and to Sen. Barbara Boxer's 2004 re-election campaign. Authorities say Northridge, Calif., businessman Abdul Rehman Jinnah, 56, fled the country shortly after being indicted on charges of engineering more than $50,000 in illegal donations to the Democratic committees

IT'S COST THE TAXPAYERS $2.3 BILLION TO KEEP HILLARY IN THE SENATE
LA TIMES - To fuel her rise, Clinton has relied on the controversial funding device known as "earmarking." The earmarks enabled her to win favor with important constituents, many of whom provided financial support for her campaigns. . . Since taking office in 2001, Clinton has delivered $500 million worth of earmarks that have specifically benefited 59 corporations. About 64% of those corporations provided funds to her campaigns through donations made by employees, executives, board members or lobbyists, a review by the Los Angeles Times shows. All told, Clinton has earmarked more than $2.3 billion in federal appropriations for projects in her state since her election to the Senate, much of it for public works projects funded in conjunction with fellow Democratic Sen. Charles E. Schumer and others in the New York congressional delegation. |

Hillary's List of Lies By Dick Morris The USA Today/Gallup survey clearly explains why Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) is losing. Asked whether the candidates were "honest and trustworthy," Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) won with 67 percent, with Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) right behind him at 63. Hillary scored only 44 percent, the lowest rating for any candidate for any attribute in the poll. |

Hillary simply cannot tell the truth. Here's her scorecard:
Admitted Lies • Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.) • Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong. He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.) • She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at the foot of the ramp.) • She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures market. (It didn't cover the market back then.) |
