I for one would be interseted in learning and sharing any thing and any way to save some money! We're fortunate in that we raise most of our own meat and most of the year have our own milk, but groceries are still a big chunk of my weekly budget |

Here are just a few of many sites I use.
www.workingmom.com www.coupons.com www.couponmom.com Even bad boy of retail that has ate up all of American has on their website freebies!! Yep that's right FREEBIES go to walmart's website, there is a tab for samples and freebies and they update it daily. Try those just for starters. On CouponMom's site they match up coupons with weekly ads in our local area and show you the best deals to get, and with the most savings, what to buy that week. So start clipping ALL you coupons and save them cause you might need them for later!! |

At Walgreen's this week they have BIGIF (buy one get one free) wrigleys gum, in their coupons, and in Sundays coupons there was a coupon for $1.00 off so I got this for free. Same for the Ricola cough drops. They also have Dawn dish soap on sale for 99cents. with a coupon in a recent Sunday paper of .25. you get this for .74!! There is also a deal on Celestial Seasoning Teas they have on sale, don't have the specifics but I think it works out to being just .50 for this product after both Walgreen coupon and Manufactor coupon!! There is also a deal on Glade Oil wisp? I don't use it but it was on the working mom website.

There is a small charge for this service It has an introductory price of $1 for a month, but those I've talked to SWEAR by it. They have literally bought tons of groceries for just a few dollars. I am debating as the closest stores are Kroger (for those on either end of the county might find this useful...you can even fill up with cheap gas in Shelbyville and really make it worth your while), CVS and Walgreens. from their site... What is The Grocery Game? The Grocery Game is a website that can save you hundreds of dollars on your grocery bill each month. Log in, spend a few minutes with a pair of scissors, and you're off to win The Grocery Game! When you play, you'll get a weekly list (called Teri's List) of the lowest-priced products at your supermarket matched with manufacturers' coupons and weekly specials -- advertised and unadvertised. The Grocery Game does all the hard work and research, and presents it to you in a straightforward format. What do the colors on Teri's List mean? Teri's List is color-coded. Black items are a good price. Buy these if you need the item now. Blue items are for stockpiling. We do not expect this item to go lower so stock up while the price is at rock bottom. Green items are free. These are not "Buy one get one free" but are actually free after sale and coupon. All you pay is sales tax! Why can't I just do this on my own? Coupon pros spend hours preparing to shop. They research ads and match their coupons to sales, only to discover twice as many un-advertised sales once they get to the store. More hours are spent standing in the aisles sifting through their files for coupons to match those sales. They save a lot of money, but most of us don't have the time for this type of shopping. Members of The Grocery Game eliminate those time-consuming hours and usually save even more than the coupon pros. For example, just because an item is on sale doesn't mean its time to play your coupon. Our databases track the sales history on nearly every item in the supermarket, waiting to use a coupon on rock-bottom sales. Now, the best possible savings are quickly accessible to busy professionals, overworked moms, single adults or anyone who wants to cut their grocery bill by 50% or even more. |

I just last week joined The Grocery Game and just found out that coupon mom is now doing the same well almost the same but for free. I just got their email yesterday with their information, so far I have saved quite a bit with this program, joined with 3 stores in mind, Kroger, Cvs, and Walgreens. Kroger of course has double coupon values which makes their shopping more valuable. Most of all I am willing to share this information with all of you. When there is a great deal to be had, hey, why not, that is why I wanted to start a new thread.
Be sure to ck out coupon mom, you have to go thru a few bs stuff but it will lead you to the right path of savings in all kinds of stuff. Happy Savings!! |

www.refundcents is also a great site. They mostly help you find the great deals. They deal with CVS, Walgreens, and the major food chains. www.dealtaker.com will help with things on the internet you are looking for.

Thank you for starting a thread that can help people during these tough times. It is a breathe of fresh air compared to some of the other bickering that transpires on other threads.

I would like to know what LOCAL ONLY business's have on special as well. Does any know of any great deals out in our own community that can support our local business's? They are the root of America and need our support just as much too. Tops, Harvest, Local car oil changer places etc. I don't want anyone to advertise just let us know what kind of deal or special did you find there, kind of information.
Thanks |

Great idea. I love bargains and usually share them with close friends and family members when I find them. A lot of people do not realize that store coupons and manufacturers coupons can be used together on an item. Also if going to Walmart for the convenience of one stop shopping it pays to make your list ahead and check all the sale flyers from the other stores and get the price match when you check out. (Walmart will not price match 50% off or buy one get one free offers.)Again, great idea! I am looking forward to participating in this one.

Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread -- these are all great ideas & we definitely need more of them! I have been doing most of the things suggested here for years -- and the $avings really do add up! A few things to remember about price matching at walmart -- make sure you have the competitors ad with you because they have now started challenging some of the price matches -- and remember to use your coupons on the price matched item to really boost your savings.
I, too, use most of the sites mentioned on other posts. I also like wwww.betterbudgeting.com because they have $$$ saving ideas for more than just groceries. I also like the group forum on www.tasteofhome.com that's named "budget living". You would be surprised how many great ideas are out there! Happy Savings! |

Here is a site that I have used for a couple of years http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/
This is a place where you can see ads before they appear. The WalMart and KMart T'day ads are already there. You can use this site to get the best bargains before they sell out. http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/ is a little hard to learn to use but worth the effort. |
