In Floyd County for lunch? I'm sure Bob put it on his City of Charlestown credit card because he was doing some Economic development for the City. I've heard that he has several hundred jobs and businesses lined up for C-town. I can't wait.

You are probable right. Bob don't know his way around in floyd county as Tony does. By the way, are there not restaurants in Clark County or are these guys hiding from the clark county voters and tax payers. You sure would think that Tony would want to be in his school district as much as he can. His staff says he has been out of the county 4 days a week campaigning. At least they are not palling around with terrorists.

Hey Shame...Would that be in a GCCS Corporation vehicle, leased and fueled by tax dollars?

we need to change the name of the thread to draw more attention to this topic. This sounds fishy to me.

MOC, it means a lot to me but especially my elderly relatives who live in Charlestown and struggle to pay their bills. When I hear that the new Economic Development Director, Bob McEwen, who is the 2nd on staff, Dave Flow being the other, and being paid more than $54,000 per year, and does exactly NOTHING except drive the superintendant from political event to political event in a CIty Car, it concerns me. Superintendant Bennett is the one who got Bob his job and now I see why. As President of the School Board he controls the agenda and discussions at School Board Meetings. It is no fluke that Bennett has not been asked to take a leave while he runs for a state wide office and is out of the office more than he is in. I have heard that Bennett and Mayor Hall a good republican friends. I have heard that they travel together. Anyone else heard that?

612, From what a resident told me, they have 2 economic development directors now on staff, both being paid in the 50's. We all are waiting for the big economic announcements about what is coming to Charlestown. From county building reports, zero new building permits have been issued in Charlestown, even though Charlestown has a full time paid permit man in Tony Jackson who I think is another City employee's Husband, Ruth Jackson who is the deputy Mayor. I could be wrong about names. H
