I filled up my car yesterday for $2.17 per gallon. Filled it up for less than $28.00

I guess the stock market hitting the crapper isn't all a bad thing. Wink

It is supply and demand. The country as a whole has reduced our fuel consumption by 7% over last year.

A friend of mine lives in Cincinnati and paid $1.96 a gallon yesterday for gas.

Enjoy the low prices while you can. I look for it to go back up after the election. Exxon posted a 15 billion dollar quarterly earnings yesterday, the LARGEST any corporation has ever posted for 1 quarter. We all donated.

Geez and I was getting used to seeing that price fall and fall and fall. I drive about 400 miles a week and $4/gallon was KILLING me!

Yep. This is just an exercise to try and get us to forget about $4.25 gas and vote for McCain. Especially considering Obama and the Dems do not want to drill. OPEC already agreed to cut production by 1.5M barrels per day, but it didn't make a dent. The US is using billons of barrels per month less than we were at this time last year. Hopefully people keep up that trend, because it's all about supply and demand. Exxon sold us a bad bill of goods, touting that the $4 gas was a product of supply chain issues, hurricanes, refinery problems, blah blah blah. So how is that the case and they still produce record profits?

Old pro what did you donate? When I give the gas company's my money they let me get gas. I guess you did not know that you could stick that hose in your car and get something for your money. Gosh I feel bad for you, Also did you see the record amount of tax's the oil company's paid. Seems like everybody forgets about that. Anyway please try lifting the lever up and put the nozzle in your car I bet that you will get some gas out for your(donation). How much do you donate to Wall Mart? Or any other business that provides something for you to use in your daily walk?

Supermike, The CEO of Exxon was honest enough to state over a year ago that the price of oil was skyrocketing because of speculation not supply and demand. An executive of Exxon repeated that statement in April of this year while testifying before Congress. He said that if the price of oil was being determined by supply and demand the price of a barrel of oil would be about $55.

We're in Oklahoma City right now and gas is $1.95. I don't remember the last time I saw it under $3 much less under $2! It's been really nice for us since we're driving from CA to MS. Keep it low for a few more days until we get there!!

I'd gladly pay $4.00 a gallon for gasoline, if I could have my $100,000 plus stock market loss back!

The law of supply and demand concerning oil ended over a year ago. It's all been speculation and greed.

Investment firms have said for years that the market was over-inflated and over-valued. It finally reset itself.

Things were really getting our of control. If a family purchased a home and budgeted gas at $300 a month, and a year later their paying $900 a month, how could they pay their mortgage?
