Maybe they were out just walking or riding their bike? They were found in a fairly private areas. People disappear off streets all the time. Even in small towns. When I was a kid, we used to go bike riding and end up who knew where. Or maybe this person or persons was stalking these boys, waiting for an opportunity to get them alone. This person could have stopped for directions or anything. Just some theories, I have been kicking around.

I don't buy that NayNay, if it was that random
as you describe, I think the killer would have
made mistakes. It's too risky to just 'pull over' and 'ask for directions'. Something would
have gone wrong a time or two I think. Unless
the killer was very lucky. My opinion anyway.

I think the killer had to have some way to
get close to the victims.

Goliath, maybe he or they were stalking them and just used that has an excuse to get close enough to get them. That would take away the random part. Maybe things did go wrong in between, maybe things could have happened and were never reported or something. Things were not discussed as much as they are now, certain things were kept more hush hush back then. Has anyone checked on different crimes from that area during that time such as break ins, assaults and the likes of that.

I have formed my own opinions about this based on this information. I have 2 uncles that were around the same age as the 2 older boys and have picked their brains for years about it. I would never ever name names but from growing up around here and living here all but 4 years of my life i have had lots of time to form opinions/suspicions. As a newcomer here I hope that things stay on track and maybe see if we can come up with something.

Please tell me, WHY oh WHY did the fingers point?

second question, to you snuffy,

where did the individual go who left town?
We could then look at that community history
and see if similar crimes occurred there. That
would be interesting.

Again, This is a shout out to Snuffy (and anyone else with info) why were the two men
you have mentioned suspects? Were they known
violent criminals? Did they not have an alibi?
What can you tell us about the reasons why
they were suspects.

You mentioned you intended to write a lengthier
post. I hope that you will as you seem to have
personal knowledge about the people involved in
the case.

Snuffy, we are counting on you for that post.
I know that other things took precedence this
weekend. But some of us do not want to let this
go.

Please do not contact them.. Jeff's mother is still heartbroken after all of these years.. To answer your question Jeff was my cousin...It will take me some time to feel comfortable enough to talk about what happened to Jeff..Just give me some time

Starlightdreams,

Thank you for posting to this forum. You are the first family member who has posted (as far as I know). I started this thread for the reasons you have identified. To not let the memory of these youths tragic deaths be forgotten and to hopefully revisit the crimes for the sake of trying to solve them...even at this late date.

Earlier, I have asked about whether the victims
'hung out' at the pool hall in Henryville. Who else 'hung out' there. Did the victims have a familiarity with the area where they were found.
Perhaps you can tell us about the personal habits of your cousin. What was he like? Was
he outgoing or shy? What could a person offered him to get him out alone (and vulnerable). Did he spend time out in the country roaming around
or would someone have taken him there against his will. Tell us what you know about him.

None of the victims were tied to trees or sexually molested. Wherever you heard that, it is bad info.
