Do you all think there will be wide scale riots nationwide if, by chance, Obama should lose the election?

Some are predicting that based on history, blacks may riot whether he win or lose. Similar to the smaller scale victory riots when large city sports win national championships, but huge anger riots should he lose.

Hey, Coach P, you've posted this crap all over the place. Are you trying to promote fear among Americans? Fear from what? Ourselves? You? America doesn't respond to fear tactics from YOU, McCain/Palin, or Bush/Cheney any more. The "REAL PEOPLE" of American are speaking and they are saying,"I'm voting for Truth, Justice, and the American Way...I'm Voting For Barack Obama!"

If it has been talked about in the NEWS and I doubt that, ....It is "Irresponsible Journalism!"

I was in a "traditionally" black restaurant yesterday evening in west Louisville. A young black man was watching news coverage of Obama on a tv. He was grinning and said, "You've got it, Obama!" He was so excited, I broke out into a grin. I don't think anyone is looking for riots. Just a big sigh of relief when Obama becomes the next President. And, if a young black man, or woman, or anyone who has ever had reason to doubt the American way breathes that sigh of relief, I don't blame them. You are worried about riots, Coach P.? I'm excited that we have the chance to actually PROVE that a man has gotten to the Oval Office based on the content of his character and not his race. I'm excited for all the people who didn't believe before that politics had anything at all to do with them. I'm excited for my little brother, an eleven year old, who has a real role model now, and a reason to think of himself as within reach of political power.

Happyface: You are right!!!!!
Most people posting negative just want to spread the hate.

I wish that everyone would just vote on issues.

It is being talked about in the NEWS because
right wing pundits and bloggers are promoting
it as another fear tactic. (Rush Limbaugh)

This here remind ol Goliath of back when him visit very nice town of Sodom. (that right up
the valley from Gomorrah..another really good ol
town) They use to say, 'what happens in Sodom,
stays in Sodom" so that sound perty good to ole
Goliath. Him go there with buddies Shemroth on
Abnega.

Turn out this here town in midst of big power grab by these here nephews of the King of Sodom.
That King killed them boys' daddy who used to be King.

The King him say, ?you dag on nit wits!! I been
King aroun here for long time. YOu done had all the liquor, honey, sheep meat wine and good stuff you want and you gonna go an throw that all away for these here upstart pups? I give you wimmens day and night, music, keep the camp fires burnin' til two am, orgies up at the temple of Baal...come on people what more do you want?"

But, peoples is fickle. So, just after me an
my PHilistine buddies leave a charnel house,
the nephews drags the King out of his palace and
one holds him down ...he cries out "PALACE GUARDS HELP ME". But the nephew him say, "Sorry
Uncle, them is with us now, the sun is rising,
not going down"

And he cut off his head with a big sword.

The people go wild, them riot in street with
joy. The KIng is dead the King is dead Hurray
them peoples say. The wimmens in the poke house
we was in says 'cmon boys, let's party"
So me an my buddies says "sure why not"

The Kings head role down the steps of the palace
and the kids start to kick it around like a socker ball.

Just then Fire and Brimstones comes flying down
from the sky. the earth shakes. People get
so very scared and worreid. Houses start burning
and next thing you know many crazy people running like chicke=ns with heads cut off ..here and there...to an fro..
SO, Goliath and his buddy see Palace all unattended. That when Goliath and Buddies go
visit Palace Treasure trove.

That very good trips for old Goliath. So, Ol
Goliath say. "Let the riots begin"

Re: Riots

That's just more Rush Limbaugh garbage.

I heard him talking up that possibility last week.

That man has hate in his heart.

This saddens and disgusts me. I am not voting for Obama, but I will respect the outcome of the election and respect our President regardless of who wins. I do not believe there will be riots or any sort of violence no matter who wins or loses.

I know what you mean...It just makes you feel good...To see 3 of my kids who are voting in their first presidential election, and the enthusiasm they have, is wonderful.

My 70+yr old mother has been working down at the Obama headquarters the past couple of weeks making phone calls, and she said, it was just so encouraging to see so many bright young adults who are so engaged in this process...She said it made her feel like there was real hope right now.

Given the rioting that sports events spark, it's a sure bet that no matter how the election turns out, somewhere in the U.S. some overzealous people are bound to go on a soccer-style rampage. Not because of their skin color, but because of their obsession.
