If you could do this it would give people time to research these races and not have to vote blindly, or leave them blank. It sure would be helpful.
Make it so!

Readers,
I'll check on the possibility of this. Normally, the tough part is when you have a many different ballots because of different council districts and so on. This election, we don't have a lot of that with County Council being At-Large no city races, so it might be possible.
As for state judge retention, I'll look on the wires to see if there's anything to use. Honestly, I doubt if we'll do anything locally, just because of the priority being placed on local races.
As for the candidate Q&As, they're nearly done being published and all are posted on our Web site. The quickest way to find them is by clicking on the "Elections 2008" link. These posted are verbatim answers submitted from candidates to mailed-out questions from the newspaper.
Keep in mind, we also will publish many staff-produced election previews before Nov. 4. Look for those this weekend and all next week.
Best, Shea.

Capt.,
Are you talking about the paid legal advertisement in the C-J today ... in the Indiana section?
No, we won't be running anything that stretches over three pages, but we have already published all the polling places in a legals ad similar to the C-J.
Here's what we tentatively have planned for a page in Saturday's paper:
• A list of all the candidates Clark County residents can vote for. • A list of the polling places (soapbox time: Man I wish they'd go to voting centers — it would simplify the process so much).
It's not feasible to run an actual ballot. There are 14 different ballots in the county based on where a person lives. We'll stick with a listing.
Thanks for reading, Shea.

You're welcome. I'll remind readers they can click on our Election 2008 link from the home page. There they'll find stories produced by our reporters as well as verbatim Q&As with candidates who chose to respond. Get out and vote! Shea.

Hopefully this helps. It's a list culled from the 14 ballots. This is every race in the county. All you really have to do is determine which statehouse district you live in. http://www.newsandtribune.com/local/local_story_304195017.htmlPaper sample ballots are available at the Voter Registration office, I believe, but they don’t have them online I’m told.
