My family and I have voted today for Barack Obama. Early voting is open. Nothing the McCain campaign can say could have changed my mind because of the many lies they have told already. Nothing they say between now and November 4th has any validity now.

This is my first time voting for a Democratic President. My family and I said ENOUGH OF THE REPUBLICAN RHETORIC OF LIES AND DECEPTION......

The McCain/Palin ticket make this election an easy choice for Americans...

Reject failure, reject hate, reject bigotry, reject lies, smears and innuendos.

Vote Obama/Biden

Barack Obama held a rally in Indianapolis. A friend and I drove up to see the event. We were shocked at the size of the crowd attending. 30 - 40 thousand were some of the estimates and that may be low.

One of the questions Obama asked the crowd was how many made over $250,000 last year by giving a show of hands. None or very few held their hands up.

He than asked why would anyone vote for someone that was going to give tax breaks to the wealthy but leave the middle class and low income families to fend on their own.

Of course the crowd cheered wildly when Obama promised a tax cut for 95% of working Americans.

Watching the huge crowd I couldn't help thinking this man is going to change America for the better for all Americans. Especially our youth.

I took some pictures I thought you might enjoy viewing.

Billions of retirement funds have been lost by our seniors 50 and over in their IRA's and 401K. Most will not be able to retire on schedule because of this and the high cost of medical and health benefits.

The McCain/Palin ticket have repeatedly stated our economy is fundamentally strong. Middle class Americans are losing their retirment funds, jobs, future and we are fundamentally sound?????

Obama will reduce taxes for 95% of all working American families and he will end an unpopular war that is costing us American lives and billions of American tax dollars.

Seniors will be exempt from taxes on income less than $50 thousand.

Why I support Barack Obama - Click Here

Americans who are concerned about income inequality has risen (as income inequality has risen), support for redistributive programs has been more or less constant.

What you see instead is increased support for educational reforms as Obama suggests. A widespread belief is that the problem worth worrying about is the ability of people toward the bottom to gain the skills they need to be successful, not the fact that some small percentage of people are becoming really fantastically rich.

The American people wonder why income inequality is so much higher in the U.S. than in other rich liberal democracies.

US Senate

Obama voted in favor of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and cosponsored the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act. In September 2006, Obama supported a related bill, the Secure Fence Act.

Obama introduced two initiatives bearing his name: Lugar–Obama,

which expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons, and the Coburn–Obama Transparency Act, which authorized the establishment of USAspending.gov, a web search engine on federal spending. On June 3, 2008, Senator Obama, along with Senators Thomas R. Carper, Tom Coburn, and John McCain, introduced follow-up legislation: Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Federal Spending Act of 2008.

Obama sponsored legislation requiring nuclear plant owners to notify state and local authorities of radioactive leaks.

In December 2006, President Bush signed into law the Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act, marking the first federal legislation to be enacted with Obama as its primary sponsor.

In January 2007, Obama and Senator Feingold introduced a corporate jet provision to the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, which was signed into law in September 2007. He introduced Deceptive Practices and Voter Intimidation Prevention Act, a bill to criminalize deceptive practices in federal elections. Obama also introduced the Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007.

Later in 2007, Obama sponsored an amendment to the Defense Authorization Act adding safeguards for personality disorder military discharges. He sponsored the Iran Sanctions Enabling Act supporting divestment of state pension funds from Iran's oil and gas industry, and co-sponsored legislation to reduce risks of nuclear terrorism. Obama also sponsored a Senate amendment to the State Children's Health Insurance Program providing one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries.

Committees

Obama held assignments on the Senate Committees for Foreign Relations, Environment and Public Works and Veterans' Affairs through December 2006 In January 2007, he left the Environment and Public Works committee and took additional assignments with Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. He also became Chairman of the Senate's subcommittee on European Affairs. As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Obama made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa. He met with Mahmoud Abbas before he became President of Palestine, and gave a speech at the University of Nairobi condemning corruption in the Kenyan government.

oh great, just what the county needs......NOT!

Someone who wants change, but doesn't want to allow for oil exploration in the US. Until something hydrogen can be phased into vehicles and sufficant power be made out of hydrogen engines, we will need OIL to make gas for vehicles. There is plenty of COAL in Kentcky to produce enough energy for hundreds of years to come. If you eliminate coal power, you in essents eliminate the economy of Kentucky, West Virginia, and every other coal producing state.

Obama is for change....Change in the wrong direction for our country.

Just your opinion but I think most Americans know better......Obama is for middle class America.......not just the rich and greedy as McCain is for. Obama is for all alternative energies, including clean coal. We must become energy independent and drilling is not the answer per expects. Drill Baby Drill is ridiculous. We only have 3% of the world's oil reserves and use 25% or more of the world's oil.

Hugh Hewitt has a good take on Barry Hussain:

As Obama's very big adventure gets underway in Denver, he has a problem.

Lots of problems, actually.

First, Obama appears to be prompter-dependant. The story that he cannot string together coherent arguments away from a prompter surfaced on Thrusday and Rush gave it huge legs. Now even the MSM will be watching to see if The One is using a virtual cheat sheet on the road.

Then there's the lingering triple play of scandals: Obama's vote and speech against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act that stuns and repulses even moderate pro-choicers; his ties to Bill Ayers and the ongoing cover-up of the documents surrounding that relationship by the University of Illinois; and of course now that houses are at the top of the news cycle, the Obamas' sweetheart house deal with crooked financier and Obama mentor Tony Rezko. That's ten weeks worth of scandal floated in one day. And inquiring minds want to know if there's more Illinois State Senate audio where the Born Alive Act sound came from.

Then yesterday, Obama praises the "vastly superior" infrastructure of China. Again, off-prompter means over the cliff with Senator Empty Suit. Central planning and near-slave labor can accomplish such wonderful things!

Given this sort of week, which followed three similar weeks and poll numbers falling faster than John Edwards' chances of being a key Obama surrogate, it was to be expected that the flailing candidate would grab for John McCain's hesitation at knowing how many houses he owned.

To which Team McCain quite rightly replied: At least the McCains paid for their houses, which invites the MSM to --finally-- take a close look at the Rezko-Obama deal and the long relationship behind it.

All of which sets the stage for Obama's big week in Denver.

He'll be on prompter and very well rehearsed, which means he'll get a bump.

But what will speaker after speaker say about energy and the cost of gas (and heating oil come the winter)? The price at the pump is still the number one issue in the country, and speaker after speaker is going to urge tire inflation?

Americans also have turned a corner on nuclear power. Solid majorities know we need nukes which can be built quickly versus windmills that may or may not be able to be built in sufficient numbers (with sufficient back-up infrastructure) to add some capacity to our grid. Democrats can't urge serious exploration, so they will obfuscate, and new media will be around to listen and react.

And in the background, playing again and again, McCain's "The One" ads, which are among the best ever produced by a presidential campaign. Using light humor to deflate a Rushmore-sized ego built on a Alfred E. Neuman resume was a brilliant stroke that sent Obama reeling and from which he hasn't yet recovered. A mass-rally to chanting thousands isn't going to help either.

Obama was supposed to be 20 points ahead coming out of Denver. He'll get a bounce, but then its back on the trail and off the prompter. Exciting times ahead for the Dalibama.

Magnificent B____, we won't necessarily know what most Americans believe on November 4th because a lot of Americans might not vote for anybody for President. I know that I won't. I will vote for other elective positions such as Governor and my Representative in Congress but I won't be voting for President. I don't like the choices.

Let's put this picture into perspective.

Here’s what happened: In 2005, Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, bid $1.65 million for a house on the south side of Chicago. Owners were asking $1.8 million. The owners also owned a lot next to the RE they want to sell at the same time. Obama made a bid on the home and the owners accepted it if Obama would buy the lot also.

Obama could not afford both. He was wanting to purchased the home with sales from his books and a mortgage loan. He was not interested in buying the lot.

According to newspaper reports, the owner wanted to sell the undeveloped parcel of land adjacent to the property Obama was buying, and he wanted the sales of the two to close on the same day.

Obama has said that he mentioned he was buying the house to a Tony Rezko, a developer. Rezko’s wife wound up buying the lot adjacent to Obama’s. A normal RE investment for the Rezo's.

At the request of the Obamas, who were seeking a bit more space for their yard, she later sold them a 10-foot wide strip, or about one-sixth, of her land. The Obamas paid $104,500 for it, or about one-sixth of what Mrs. Rezko had paid for the entire property. Nothing irregular here.

There was nothing wrong our unusual in the transaction. Obama says he regrets the deal only because Rezko was involved. Rezko is a well known political contributor in the Chicago area and has contributed to all politicians in the area.....

The facts remain that McCain has been involved and/or had closer relationships to many shady characters. Remember Keating 5......the chief investigator of the Keating 5 incident says McCain should have been indicted for his actions during the investigation.....also what about G Gordon Liddy, McCain's great friend and felon.

Enough on this subject.
