The same here. Run in for candy or a YouHoo. Then back to sports.

There used to be a store near Garfield, kids would all go to at lunchtime. And my opinion was that Riverside always had the best gobs!

There was a sandwich shop across the street (Laurel Ave) from Garfield that had good subs, is that one you are talking about. I went there almost everyday and there was always a long line, sometimes you had to pass because the line was too long and you wouldn't have enough time...

Tioga Street Market (Westmont)- Guy had the best ham spread.
The Westmont Middle School kids still have Clarks - great subs.

Beaverdale had Fedore's (oh the candy I ate from that place) and Andrykovich's. Oh and there was Anne Cornell's - always hot in that store.

Sidman had Carpenters - they made ice cream sandwiches...that was always a treat!

Thanks for the memories!

Good 'ol Moxham. A store and a church on every other corner. The bars weren't allowed, so they're on Bridge St. Smiler

Got a shot of Clark's here. I stopped goin when they shortened their subs: "We haven't changed anything but the size."

Well, yeah, that's the point.

Across from Garfield was "Minnie's" always packed for lunch, and at the "corner" in Oakhurst was Kesslak's Dairy Dell. There was another one at the top of Daniel St, forgot the name but they even had a pool table in the back.

There you go, Minnies. The lady there made great sandwiches. Kesslaks was a good alternative if you got out a little late for Minnies.....
