Left Jtown to buy fireworks in W. Virginia. Just crossed the border; now they say NO fireworks sales allowed in the state of W. Virginia. So i started looking for a second opinion.
Then somebody mentioned that fireworks are legal in Ohio. Soon i heard an advertisement on the radio: Bellaire, Ohio Has All Your Firework Needs.
It was just across the border and the full open boxes of M-80's still smelled from the adhesive they used to seal the fuse to the base. These were fresh fireworks. And these were the good M-80's.

So on the way home my automatic transmission blows; every 40 to 50 miles you have to stop and add fluid.

SOOOOO i break down right in front of the entrance to STORYBOOK FOREST. Took a walk into the treeline so i could relieve myself.
I'm Done and i here this girl's voice. I turn around and there was the beautiful Snow White in her best clothes. She was alone but she had a dish of cookies and a glass of milk that she offered to me......this was a good day

Are you serious about the cookies and milk? What a fairy tale it turned out to be. Big Grin

I remember going there as a kid and Little Red Riding Hood gave us those generic vanilla wafer cookies. You must have been special! Big Grin

Summer 1978. We took a VW convertable to DC for a Yuppie Convention. We had two ounces of marijuana and two cases of Iron City Beer. Aside from that we were broke. Our food was apples. On the way home we blew a tire. We were stoned.

Some black guy came past. we had weed and did not cARE.

BLACK GUY STOPPED AND WE HID OUR WEED

BLACK GUY TOOK US TO HIS RATTY HOUSE, FOUND A TIRE, TRIED TO GETT US HIGH

WE BROUGHT OUT OUR WEED

HE HAD A TALKING PARROT

WE GOT WAy high on pittsburgh marijuana

My family had an interesting trip to Arizona when I was 12. It was my second trip there. I went with my mother and grandparents to visit my uncle and aunt. Getting there wasn't too bad. Going home was the problem. My mother had called ahead to make sure our flight was on schedule. We were told that everything was okay. Unfortunately, my aunt and uncle decided part way through our trip to get a new SUV that only had enough seats for five people. There were six of us. Not too comfortable there. When we got to the airport, we had checked our luggage into the curb side check in. Once again, we were told that our flight was on schedule.
It wasn't until we got to the boarding gate, that we discovered that our flight was canceled. They told us something was wrong with the plane and they were fixing it. The plane wouldn't be fixed till the next night. That was a problem since my mother and grandmother had to be back at the following day. Since there where no more flights from that airline to BWI (where our car was) till the next evening, we had to book under another airline. Another problem we had was that we discovered that our luggage was put on another flight to Miami. We finally got another flight, but it was to D.C., and we didn't know if we were going to get our luggage. We decided to fly to D.C., hope our luggage is there, then have a taxi drive us to BWI. The flight was okay, except my grandmother became ill.
When we got to BWI, the only luggage we received were my mother's and grandfather's. Mine and my grandmother's could not be found. We managed to find a cab, got to BWI, and drove home. It took us much longer to drive home, because we got lost in Baltimore.
About a week later, my grandmother's luggage was found. It was a good thing too, since her jewelry was in there. My luggage wasn't found until two weeks later. The reason they didn't find it until then was because they were looking for a suitecase with my grandfather's name on it, not mine. I was told to put my name on the suitecase. No one remembered. Thank goodness we all lived at the same address.
