My family had an interesting trip to Arizona when I was 12. It was my second trip there. I went with my mother and grandparents to visit my uncle and aunt. Getting there wasn't too bad. Going home was the problem. My mother had called ahead to make sure our flight was on schedule. We were told that everything was okay. Unfortunately, my aunt and uncle decided part way through our trip to get a new SUV that only had enough seats for five people. There were six of us. Not too comfortable there. When we got to the airport, we had checked our luggage into the curb side check in. Once again, we were told that our flight was on schedule. It wasn't until we got to the boarding gate, that we discovered that our flight was canceled. They told us something was wrong with the plane and they were fixing it. The plane wouldn't be fixed till the next night. That was a problem since my mother and grandmother had to be back at the following day. Since there where no more flights from that airline to BWI (where our car was) till the next evening, we had to book under another airline. Another problem we had was that we discovered that our luggage was put on another flight to Miami. We finally got another flight, but it was to D.C., and we didn't know if we were going to get our luggage. We decided to fly to D.C., hope our luggage is there, then have a taxi drive us to BWI. The flight was okay, except my grandmother became ill. When we got to BWI, the only luggage we received were my mother's and grandfather's. Mine and my grandmother's could not be found. We managed to find a cab, got to BWI, and drove home. It took us much longer to drive home, because we got lost in Baltimore. About a week later, my grandmother's luggage was found. It was a good thing too, since her jewelry was in there. My luggage wasn't found until two weeks later. The reason they didn't find it until then was because they were looking for a suitecase with my grandfather's name on it, not mine. I was told to put my name on the suitecase. No one remembered. Thank goodness we all lived at the same address.
