I'm looking for someone who makes nut rolls and pumpkin rolls for Christmas. I like the rolls loaded with nuts and just not crust. The pumpkin roll should be moist, not like a dry cake mix. Any suggestions?

Get out your phone book and start calling churches.
You could try making them yourself.
Anyone have the recipe?

St Barnabus/St Gregory's make fantastic nut rolls with lots of filling. They also make pumpkin rolls, nice and moist with a cream cheese filling.

I also have the old ACME bakery recipe for nut roll and poppy seed rolls. The filling is homemade. I used to watch my mom hand grind the walnuts and then make the filling. This was an all day affair with mom and dad in the kitchen on a Sunday before the holidays baking 25-30 rolls. Geeze, they were so good. I can still remember the scent coming from the kitchen on those Sundays.

Actually I am Irish.

I use to know an Italian lady, I baby sit for. She talked me into helping her make them for weddings.

So I learned A wedding and a Holiday are not Unless you have toto's.

I make them for Family and Friends weddings, and for Holidays now.

I did have a Glorious vacation in Italy this summer. : )
