Ladies and Gentlemen, the (Unscripted) Comedy Stylings of Mister John McCain:
"Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno." "Did you hear the one about the woman who is attacked on the street by a gorilla, beaten senseless, raped repeatedly and left to die? When she finally regains consciousness and tries to speak, her doctor leans over to hear her sigh contently and to feebly ask, 'Where is that marvelous ape?' " "Maybe that's a way of killing 'em!" (said in reference to American cigarette sales to Iran). "Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran...." "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you c--t." (said to his wife, Cindy. How’s that for family values.) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/john-eskow/ladies-and-gen...en-the_b_135832.html http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/make_believ...the_real_john_mccain http://www.amconmag.com/article/2008/oct/20/00014/ Rosa sat, so Martin could walk. Martin walked, so Obama could run. Obama is running, so our children can fly. -Ed Welch, quoting a text message from a friend, on NPR's All Things Considered, 10/28/08 |

Aiyanna, you just lowered yourself to the level of the crap-shovellers that have been at work on Obama for months. Please don't.

I don't know about being a hick, and I, also, would mock someone driving around in the back of their pickup drinking beer, but I am very proud to be an Oskaloosan.
Personally, I also find the majority of current prom dresses to be hideous, but I'm just an old Dad. I like a little classier look - a little more opening night and a little less cheap hooker. I've lived in towns with populations from 48 to several million, and each had their strong and weak points. Each also had people who would mock the people of the other towns. I guess that's a universal human trait. Generalizing about any group is dangerous - I'm guessing that I have more education, have travelled more AND witnessed more cultural events than anyone in the video. Next symphony concert or Broadway show I take in, I'll be sure to save them all a seat in the back of my pickup for the trip. (Okay, so I don't own a pickup...) |

LOL, when I post statements that John McCain has said over the years I'm one of the "crap-shovellers " but when someone posts that Obama isn't a Christian you don't post anything. Your displeasure and personal attacks are misplaced, again. How about calling Coach P a “crap-shoveller†for McCain instead of me, OskyBooster? Obama is a Christian. That's a proven fact.
John McCain really did say these jokes. Just read the links I posted. Hey, one of the links is for the American Conservative Magazine, even Republicans have written about McCain saying these things. Again, OskyBooster your judgment about my posts are wrong, unless you think Republicans are "crap-shovellers" for Obama too.

Of course I think that. I think that the wording of my reply to you makes that clear. I would rather that a fellow Obama supporter not stoop to that level. I have replied when some statements are made in this forum. In the most recent case, several others of you covered things quite ably.
Aiyanna, I have met you on several occasions and believe you to be intelligent and articulate. The danger for all of us is that we can let our rhetoric undermine the credibility of our opinions. I realize I'm sounding paternalistic, but I'm much older than you and it's a lesson I'm still learning. |

Again, I think you are wrong in your judgment (and I really don't care if you've met me, or if you are older, because neither of those conditions makes you right).
Both Republicans and Democrats are concerned about the words that come out of John McCain’s mouth, and most of those articles that talk about his jokes also talk about his temperament. And being concerned about his temperament doesn’t make any of us “crap shovellersâ€. I bet the people at American Conservative Magazine would laugh at you thinking they are “crap shovellers†for Obama because most Conservatives clearly support McCain. I think McCain is a sexist and a hot head. I don’t like how he makes fun of cancer and rape; these are very serious things that touch so many lives and I don’t like the fact that McCain treats these things so lightly. I don’t just come to my conclusions about McCain just based on his jokes. How about reading the Rolling Stone article, it would put a joke or two in context that allows a person to make an informed judgment of McCain. I didn’t post the jokes by themselves for a reason, something I made clear by posting the links that put the jokes in context, sorry your age didn’t help you figure that out.

You are basing your opinion on an article you read in Rolling Stone?? No wonder you rant the way you do. Rolling Stone is a liberal rag that is intended to brainwash the younger generations. This is a sad example that proves it works. |

You have an opinion I don't agree with. And just as I disagree with your assessment of liberal magazine, I'm sure you'd disagree with my assessment of conservative magazines: they are simply there to brain wash people. And I could just as easily say your posts are “a sad example that proves it (the brain washing by conservative ‘rags’) works†too, LOL.
Rolling Stone isn't the only link, there’s a Republican "rag" listed too, LOL.
