Since Enoch is included in the New Testament. I view the New Testament to be 100% inspired. This text taken out of the book of Jude 1:14 quote's Enoch:
Jude 1:14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones This would have to make Enoch an inspired book. |

I have read Jude learned of this prophecy is not known, unless it be from the book of Enoch which was known in the early church. Origen, Tertullian, and others mention a book by this name. (?)

I believe you are right about that Rubicon. Church history is rich in theological history and purpose. Enoch is an excellent read, as well as Tobit. Other than that I have not delved deep into the other apocryphal writings. But see no problem adding them to the Protestant Cannon. Your thoughts? |

I often wondered why it was not included in the Bible especially since it is quoted in God's Word. I haven't read all of it, but I have read some and it is very interesting.

That's the main point and I am glad to see you raised that question to Doglover.
If it can be quoted, and we see the Bible as 100% inspired, then we come to the conclusion that all of Enoch must be inspired too. Or say some believe that the Bible is just a good book with good moral teachings than one could also conclude that, "You know what? I feel that the Bible has been mistranslated over the centuries to fit our culture." But one can only debate the issue. |
