What up Dog!!!

Illustration: 1Kings 18:40 Then Elijah commanded them, "Seize the prophets of Baal. Don't let anyone get away!" They seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley and slaughtered there.

Thankfully, there are more than the three options that you two provide.

But I didn't pray for a McCain victory. I prayed 'Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done. In earth, as it is in Heaven.'

We are instructed to pray as such. Not for GOD to manipulate the polls so that the person we think is best will win.

I think maybe B is not that far from the truth.

How many of you voted against God's rulers?

Daniel 4:17 (NKJV)
...the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, GIVES IT TO WHOMEVER HE WILL, And sets over it THE LOWEST OF MEN.'

Daniel 4:25 (NKJV)
...the MOST HIGH rules in the kingdom of men, and GIVES IT TO WHOMEVER HE CHOOSES.

Acts 23:4-5 (NKJV)
And those who stood by said, "Do you revile God's high priest?" Then Paul said, "I did not know, brethren, that he was the high priest; for it is written, 'YOU SHALL NOT SPEAK EVIL OF A RULER OF YOUR PEOPLE.' "

Romans 13:1 (NKJV)
For THERE IS NO AUTHORITY EXCEPT FROM GOD, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

Revelation 13:7-8 (NKJV)
...AUTHORITY WAS GIVEN HIM over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 (NKJV)
And for this reason GOD WILL SEND THEM STRONG DELUSION, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I prayed God's will would be done. Now that Obama has won I will pray that God will lead him in his decisions. God's will is perfect and He alone knows the beginning from the end.

Lance always thinks he can throw Christians off w/one of his 'trick' questions. I've never seen one yet that didn't backfire on him. Poor guy.

What up Dog! I hope you don't mind me calling you Lance Big Grin

We obviously know those who wanted McCain to win were praying for a victory, or if not praying (hoping) he would win (casting a vote).

Is God's intentions always right? Is there always a divine purpose?

Any feedback on this one? Especially those who prayed for God's will to be done?

Not a 'trick' question Sandra but I understand how it may have thrown you for a loop.

It seems the consensus (with you agreeing) is that the election of Barack Obama was god's will, so obviously he is tired of Republicans.

We pray for God's will to be done, and it will, one way or another. I wonder if Obama's election was what God wanted or what man wanted and God will just use it to His glory?

You are mistaken MSU, not knowing the scriptures.

God's Will cannot be subverted by anyone, all we can do is align ourselves with His Will and praise Him for it.

God sets up kings and brings them low. Sometimes a king (ruler) is setup as judgement, and sometimes it's as blessing.

Go back and read about king Saul, Nebecudnezzer, etc.

Eppur è d'uopo, sforzati!

Vesti la giubba, e la faccia infarina.
La gente paga, e rider vuole qua.
ridi, Pagliaccio, e ognun applaudirà!

Ridi, Pagliaccio!

However, it is still god's will, correct?

To be "tired of Republicans"? No. Do you honestly think GOD cares about bipartisanship? He looks at the heart. And right now, GOD is looking at the heart of America.

We have no idea what GOD has in mind for this country. If using Obama for his means to get more people to pray, then that's fine w/me. My faith goes far beyond anything man could possibly do, but is directly linked to the power of the Almighty.

That is something you cannot understand and seem to be in a spiritual battle w/in yourself trying to do so. It's so simple. Accept Christ and have the full knowledge of His intent for your personal relationship w/Him.

Unless, of course, McCain got elected, in which case of course God answered your prayers.
