What exactly are the characteristics of the Antichrist?
I know that he is going to set himself up as God, and will consider himself above every other god. He will desire/demand to be worshipped. This is one of the disturbing things about Obama. He's being worshipped by atheist leftists, he's being worshipped by Muslims, He's being called Messiah. The words, titles, attributes of Jesus are being used openly to describe him by his follwers. No matter what he does, what sort of horrible people he's associated with, his bots worship and adore him. It's almost as if they have been given over to a "great delusion, so that they may believe the lie"...hmmm. Here we are on the verge of a total global economic collapse. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan - the world wants out of them. Perfect timing for a world dictator to introduce a new system of "buying and selling" and enter in on a platform of "peace". Could this skinny creep Obama actually be the Antichrist after all? |

The anti-christ will not be Torah observant. He will cling to the traditions of man, i.e. Christmas, Easter, etc. He will disregard the kosher laws.
He will not be able to follow the inherent word of the Creator. He will be easy to identify if one knows what to look for. _____________ "A little nonsense now and then, relished by the wisest men." |

P.S. Nothing has popped the pretension around the 0bama campaign rhetoric more effectively than a satirical YouTube ad called "The One." It's possibly the best polilitcal spot of our era.
The ad starts with a deep-voiced announcer saying: "In 2008, it should be known that the world will be blessed. They shall call him..."The One." Then follows a series of film clips of 0bama speechifying about his miraculous abilities, starting with his brag about "a nation healed, a world repaired." His often repeated mantra appears: "We are the ones we have been waiting for," delivered in the "imperial we." 0bama himself actually says: "A light will shine down from somewhere. It will light upon you. You will experience an epiphany, and you will say to yourself: I have to vote for Barack." Then you see him in front of a maniacally cheering crowd saying, "This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and the planet began to heal."  Obama may have an antichrist spirit, but I don't think he is THE Antichrist. Anyway, "that one" will be coming from Europe. We are giving Obama far more credit and power than he should be allowed. |

The antichrist of this era is Islam, the "man of lawlessness" is often interpreted to be an individual antichrist but and I believe to be of the antichrist but the antichrist as an individual person seems to me to be a fabrication of tv preachers and humanist theologians. As far as I know the Antichrist is only mentioned a few times in the bible and none of the mentions are as an individual but a spirit or movement. If there is scripture that specifically says the antichrist is a person please post. The reference in revelation to the mark of the beast has been tied to the antichrist as a person but that could have easily been fulfilled in part with hitler as an antichrist. his mark was tattoos and patches that idendified jews that without them they weren't allowed privileges. Hitler was most certainly a beast of the antichrist but I think Revelation mentions two beasts, perhaps one is yet to come. Give to the needy, help the hurting, lead the lost, know the Master. |
