Hi ya all!
We`re kind`a new here, and I was wondering, does anyone know if this town has a welcome wagon for new folks. Does anyone have any info as to how to contact them? Thanx!

Welcome, fellow hillbilly, to Washington via Central America & the rootin' tootin' WTH Forum. We're confident you'll find our town to be as welcoming as could be & trust Washington's heritage of cool evenhandedness & respect for diversity -- mountaineers, too -- will shine thru for you & your kin as you gradually ease into community living.

Last time I saw the Welcome Wagon was at the late Pat Kelly's house on Robinson Street's West section in early 1970. Seek & ye shall find is a common refrain hereabouts!

Thanx Jethro,
I guess my kids will have to find other means of getting candy and gift certificates elsewhere. Oh well, no big deal! Thanx for the info.

The welcome wagon should be your neighboors. { pours hillbilly a cup of coffee and hands him a bag of See's candy for the kids}. When I mived to Montgomery, all my neighboors brought goodies over to us. It was so nice of them.

hibiscus,
Per your above inquiry, no, hillbilly is not my true identity. And any person with any common sense at all would know better. It is merely a nickname given to me by my elders at a very young age. A nickname to which I accepted, I highly respect it, I honor it, and am very proud of it.

As for the rootin tooin thing, that you mentioned above, I got that phrase from a posting that Jethro Bodine used on this forum, to which I thought was kind`a neat! Do you have a problem with my sharing such a phrase? I guess, I should also ask Jethor if he has a problem with it as well. I sure don`t wanna break any laws, or make anyone mad.

And they wonder why I am confused. Santi, is that you?

Hillbilly, geez, I was just being nice. My daddy came from a pig farm town. Hillbilly was his middle name baby.

I think I have heard enough from Hillbilly. How is everyone else. Special hi to Jethro, Barney's wife, Sir Knight, and a few others.

And, he is from Kentucky, where I have some kin. Dying to share backyard buryin tales.

Hello backatcha, HarleyBabe. Where've ya been? Probably out enjoying the beautiful weekend weather like the rest of us! This is probably the last round of grass-mowing we'll have to make.
