“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,†Obama continued. “You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.†Barack Obama
The Obamas made $1.65 million in 2005, roughly $1 million in 2006, and $4.2 million in 2007. And, I'm sure their income hasn't fallen off much for 2008, but let's just call it $2 million. So, total income for the last four years is roughly $9 million. Despite the pretty solid income, Obama's illegal immigrant aunt lives in public housing in Boston. Could he not spread some of his own wealth to help a blood relative obviously in need? He even accepted campaign contributions (illegally) from her! Obama loves the idea of collecting taxpayer money to redistribute to those he and others in DC determine to be deserving, and he decries anyone not agreeing with that philosophy as selfish. Meanwhile, he allows his own family members to live in squalor? If I had Obama's wealth, I can assure you that not one of my blood relatives would be living in public housing. |

One thing is a fact.Rich Liberals are not talking about their own wealth when they push for redistribution of wealth. Obama has been very clear on his plans for America's future. We are in for a long steady decline. Democrats simply hate the thought of workers keeping their income. |

Really!? I heard that Obama is paying the rent for all of Chicago's poor. What do you think of that? |

I think you need to cite your source. Or, did they make you promise not to tell? |

Have you paid attention to the current state of the economy? There isn't much room left for a "long steady decline." And it is refreshing to know that Republicans care so much about letting workers keep more of their money. When do they plan to put those words into action? After we finish paying for the billion dollar a month nation building program in Iraq? After we finish paying for the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street? Sure would be nice to have a timetable for that plan to help workers. Oh, I forgot--Republicans don't believe in timetables. Just keep the faith. Someday they will deliver on all those promises, and we'll have no gay marriage, no abortions, a sound fiscal policy, limited government, term limits, a balanced budget, victory over terrorism, and an economy where everybody prospers. And monkeys will fly from your rectum. |

I must admit a part of me is curious to see Obama win the WH and Dems pick up a supermajority in the Senate. I'm dying to see what smug Democrats will do with unilateral power (except in the Supreme Court).
Of course a bigger part of me feels that NOTHING will change. Two things fill the mind with ever-increasing wonder and awe: the starry heavens above and the moral law within. --Immanuel Kant |

Mencken Jawbone -------------------------------------------------- Both sides are responsible for our current problems. Democrats also voted for the bailout and certainly added to our Financial problems. In short I have no reason to think Obama will fix our problems by raising taxes. I'm sorry you feel the need to insult me with your quotations. While I strongly disagree with you I would not try to imply you are ignorant. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Mamiya, |

My quotations are not directed at anyone in particular, they are general quotes I change from time to time. Any insult is simply your assumption. And take another look at the second quote.
Your original post did not assign collective guilt, you predicted doom and gloom if Democrats are in charge. Doom and gloom is achievable no matter which party is in charge--that is my point. I have strong disagreements with Democrats, but I have developed an even stronger dislike of Republicans. |
