Watch and see how our standing in the world among nations will achieve it's greatness once again. w w w . my space / eretzsus |

1. When did being a nation become like being the "popular" kid on the playground? We should not use worldwide popularity as a barometer.
2. For all of the time liberals have spent telling us how crappy our country is, some 20 million illegals thought it cool enough to come here! I have no problem with people who hold ideologies different than mine, but I'm sick and tired of Americans walking around telling everyone how bad our country sucks! Your ad here |

Sweet! I've been racked in torment over the last 8 years about what the French really think of us. Whew!
Ya know, I think what's really 'buttered my biscuits' is reading news articles about how people are so relieved that they don't have to pretend to be Canadian when they travel to Europe, or how they'll finally resume standing for the National Anthem and respecting the flag now that Obama has won. America is bigger than any president or policy. America, for all it's faults, and all it's mistakes, and all it's disagreements, is still MY country that I LOVE. I'm sorry these "fair-weather" Americans don't feel the same. EDIT: I do have to give you props for the video link though. Having it play in the background helped to mellow my response. No it's important to be thought of as cool in the world. Why does Europe get to have all the cool and we bring most of the innovation to the world. We have just stepped way beyond Europe in coolness. We have had nothing but WASP leadership since day one. Now we have the political parallel of Miles. w w w . my space / eretzsus |

Bush took us down a turbulent road and is ditching us in the gutter and will fly off to his new CEO job with Halliburton . I care about how we are viewed in the world and Obama will make the changes we need. The image factor will help enormously. w w w . my space / eretzsus |

I, for one, think it's racist to say that black skin makes one "cool", white skin makes one "square". But I guess judging one not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character is passe, isn't it? Don't get me wrong, I DO see your point about having a non-white male in charge, and yes, it is undeniably a good thing that we have put our racism behind us enough to vote for a black man, but let's stop this white = evil crap. Racism is racism no matter who wears the hat. Your ad here |

There is an ongoing trend among whites to steal everything the African culture develops. They chew it up and spit it out and then it becomes palatable for the white culture. The white culture doesn't like to see an idea unless there is blonde hair and blue eyes attached to it. Is that racist or what ? Strip away the skin factor and embrace the idea. America has transcended what other countries cannot do. w w w . my space / eretzsus |

What exactly is "white culture"?

Does black "culture" exist in a vacuum? Take jazz music--it was long claimed to be "black" music, but it was performed on instruments built by whites on stages and in dance halls owned and built by whites. The same holds for any musical style you can name. There is a symbiosis. Rap artists may have developed the style, but it took white producers and radio stations to introduce it to the white kids, who purchased the music and gave it life beyond what it could have had in the "hood." And it simply isn't true that whites only accept white faces attached to the music. Take your most popular black artists and you will see that their album sales extend far beyond what the black population alone could purchase. I hope we never reach a point where we have entirely separate cultures based on race. And absorbing other ideas, styles, language music and food isn't "theft"--it is the process that makes culture. Reflect on white "culture" the next time you sit down at the Chinese buffet next door to the Olive Garden down the street from the Tex-Mex grill. |

Amen! I only root for a sports team if it has all white stars. Um, wait. That leaves me with synchronized swimming, beach volleyball, and, umm, not much else. I find it absolutely humorous that in a nation that just elected a black President people would still claim that we are largely a racist society. There are VERY few white hiphop artists, a growing number of white blues artists, but they're still in the minority, and fewer white sports stars than there are minority sports stars...by a LONG shot. We have our problems, any culture does, but widespread blatant racism, while still existent in some quarters, is becoming less and less commonplace. Your ad here |

It wasn't JUST Bush that took us down that "turbulent road" you're talking about. So while you're busy pointing the finger at just one man in D.C. stop and think about that for a change - then start pointing that same finger at those Senators and Congressmen/women of this great nation too. They deserve a big chunk of the blame as well. |
