Saw this on the Daily show and found it interesting. Not that I'm a huge Obama supporter, but where are the "fair and balanced" calls for McCain to denounce Rev. Hagee?

McCain's sweet talk express

It's for sure that the "vast right wing conspiracy" Big Grin is definitely in the gearing up phase at this point though... O'Reilly, Gingrich, Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, Buchanan & Co. might as well be on Hillary's campaign staff... after a year or more of insulting McCain regularly.

They're hoping against hope that Hillary pulls it out one way or another so their guy (McCain) can run against her and they can forage in the spoils like parasites watching her political career incrementally die.

If we're very lucky... the contest will end up being between McCain v Obama. So, who the hell knows what anything means this far ahead of time other than that.

The media will change its mind in a heartbeat if it suits them.

They'll change it in a nanosecond. McCain was Mr. also-ran to every new candidate. They spent weeks begging Fred Thompson to save us all, then decided he was boring--barely covered his exit speech. Now McCain will get a rinse and spin, and we'll start the cycle all over...

I agree McCain v Obama would be a more interesting race than Clinton v McCain, because Hillary is the irritating pushy broad they add to the cast of every reality show. People start tuning in just hoping she'll get voted off the island.

As much as I hate McCain (and that's a lotta much, believe me) he didn't spend 20 years listening to Hagee. He simply went to him out of political expediency. That's no real excuse by any stretch of the imagination, but it's still slightly different than having your world view colored by someone like Wright for twenty years.

An interesting experiment would be to send McCain to "worship" at Wright's church for 5 years, while Obama gets his arms broken and hung by his elbows for five years by the North Vietnamese. It would be fun to see how that changed their outlook and their views of the country.

Sadly (?) there aren't any more "North Vietnamese", so I doubt they'd take us up on it.

Quite so.

Perhaps a five year tenure in NE Pakistan might suffice?

How about a week of waterboarding at Gitmo, no questions asked?

Nahhhhhh... it's gotta be five years or it doesn't match the criteria.

Nice try at changing the subject.

Just because the remaining liberal democrats in the country can't decide on a bro or a ho, is no reason to throw away perfectly good pesos er dollars, to educate the corrupt. It's like sending drug addicts or drunkin tarts to a rehab for celebs in Hawaii. We should spend the money on helping out the gene pool in the USA by bringing in hard working mindless rif-raf from the southern hemisphere.
