RE: http://www.muskogeephoenix.com/opinion/local_story_091163941.html One must give consideration to the fact that Obama must have or should have known of his pastors true feelings and most probably knew of his sermons. This leaves us with the question. Can we really afford to trust this man to be president after all that has come to light? Just how much is enough. His pastor not only "hates" whites but America too. This would lend credence to those who believe there is a Muslim influence here. So can we really take the chance, our lives could depend on this.

DeWayne Wickham's article was very well stated. As I stated in another post, Obama sould have distanced himself from Wright long ago. Thankfully, he is no longer the pastor of Obama's church. If you play the guilt by association game, every candidate on the planet in every election would be guilty of being associated with someone who was off the hook. I don't think that we have anything more to fear with Obama in office than what we've endured since Bush took office. As a nation we are in some deep crap politically and FINANCIALLY (well haliburton, W & Cheney are doing well, I'm sure). We can no longer fight an unjust war. Hillary voted for the war in Iraq, McCain will continue it. We're fighting a war on terrorism which is a state of mind and not a physical state, correct? Remember, Iraq had NOTHING to do with 911. 14 of the 19 hijackers on 911 were from Saudi Arabia, the rest were Lebanese and from the UAE. Why do you suppose the we didn't invade Saudi Arabia? HMMMMMMMM????? I just pray that whoever is our next leader that they will lead us out of this mess. I tip my hat to ALL of the candidates who have run in this election thus far. Can you imagine actually WANTING the responsibility of having to straighten out Bush's mess? I simply cannot believe that anyone left in this race has nothing less than the deepest love and respect for our nation. What's in office right now has shown us quite the opposite. I'm ready for a change whoever it is.
If there is even one chance he shares the views of his minister or his wifes or is a closet Muslim. Then he CAN NOT be the CinC! With just one of what I have mentioned he would not be granted a security clearance in any of the Armed Services.

So is this fear of the Muslim faith or just plain hatred? Every faith (even Christianity) has their ugly, radical, fundamentalist side that does not represent the mainstream. We are at war with TERRORISTS, not Muslims as a whole. And if we're at war with terrorism here and we're going to profile, then we might want to add pin headed, pasty, thin lipped white guys to the list of those that we don't want in the oval office. Lest we forget the OKC bombing.

This is what is being taught to muslim children and is a very popular TV show for them. Tell THEM we are not at war with Islam. The video says the white house will be turned into a mosque and then the puppet kid stabs Bush multiple times. Have a nice day in fantasyland.

Mr. something: If you're mainstream we're headed down the river of complete dispair. The main thing I get from your posts are guys doing guys and such and talking down this country. Now come back with something witty with blinky eyes.
I guess if there is such a thing as an "epiphany" that could occur on one of these forums I may have just had one:
WE are NOT at war with ISLAM- ISLAM IS AT WAR WITH US.
Give to the needy, help the hurting, lead the lost, know the Master.

Correct mule and very well put. The said swarm on 911 came from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emerates. Why are we in Iraq and not obliterating those countries? I'd be very much in favor of that. There is indeed a definate threat from RADICAL ISLAM, were we are fighting right now ain't the place. Our president with the saudi prince http://www.prophetofdoom.net/pics/Islamic_Clubs_Taliban..._kiss_hold_hands.jpg

If the main thing that you get from my posts is guys doing guys, then you just don't get it. Let's hope that I'm closer to the mainstream than willful ignorance, intolerance, hatred and prejudice. At least I'm witty.

I was born and raised in probably one of the most culturally diverse areas in the US. My parents had gay friends, so I was never TAUGHT to hate or shun them simply because they are different from me. For accepting them as they are, I make absolutely NO aplolgies. As for the "guys doing guys" thing. Let's at least be fair...I happen to have lesbian friends as well. Nowhere in my post do I mention "guys doing guys". YOU put that there because that happens to be what YOU focus on. Get your mind out of the gutter! In reality, I don't discuss with my gay friends what they do behind closed doors any more than I do with my straight friends because that's simply a private matter.
Speaking of reality! To me, a reality based Christian means that I realize that I share this planet with people who are different from me (some for better, some for worse) in many ways and I cannot change that. I've had a far happier life accepting those differences and putting them in the proper perspective than if I tried to use scripture to hate or separate myself from those differences. To me that would make for a miserable life. I'm fully prepared to stand before the throne and say that "I know what the bible (and not necessarily you Lord) said about guys doing guys and all that stuff that mule focuses on, but I just can't be that way Lord. You've shown me love, grace and mercy ever since we've met. I've chosen to show the same to others, please forgive me" If that's the worst that I'm guilty of, then so be it.
Ok you got me on Afghanistan, that operation is still justifiable. My bad. As far as WMD, get your news from someplace other than FOX. No I don't support our current administrations running the war in Iraq. Nothing veiled there. I think that I'm in the majority on this one. The 911 enemy was not in Iraq until we got there. You don't think that Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and the UAE should be held accountable? You're in the oil business arent you?
I don't know that I've ever hidden posts.
For the record, I don't find you repulsive mule. I believe that you truly believe what you believe and are sincere. I don't agree with you an many issues, but I respect you nonetheless. Have a good day.
I don't see where I put any words in your mouth Billy Bob. And I don't see where I got out of line. If it's because I mentioned the OKC bombing, that was done to show that not only Muslims are capable of being terrorists, so who do we single out? Simple as that.
