Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has received an endorsement he might well wish he hadn’t — from the militant Palestinian group Hamas.

Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas’ top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, delivered his endorsement in an interview with WorldNetDaily and WABC Radio in New York.

“We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections,” Yousuf said.

“I do believe [Obama] is like John Kennedy, a great man with a great principle. And he has a vision to change America, to [put] it in a position to lead the world community, but not with humiliation and arrogance.”

The U.S. and Israel have been seeking to isolate Hamas, which seized control of Gaza in June and is classified by the State Department as a terrorist group.

Obama, as well as presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and John McCain, have all referred to Hamas as a “terrorist organization,” according to WorldNetDaily.

Asked about Obama’s criticism of former President Jimmy Carter’s meeting with Hamas during his Middle Eastern trip, Yousuf said:

“I understand American politics and this is the season for elections and everybody tries to sound like he’s a friend of Israel…

“I hope Mr. Obama and the Democrats will change the political discourse when one of them will be the president.”

IDF's doesn't care what Obama's middle name is and only cares about his voting record (WTFE), but attempts to link him to terrorist as often as possible.

It's nice to see the liberal news point out how many people are either racist or stupid in West Virginia. I actually saw this conversation on the 'Today' show getting ready for work yesteraday.

Reporter: "Why do you support Clinton?"
Ignorant/Racist Hillbilly Woman: "Because Obama's a Muslim, we cain't have a terrorist in the White House"
Report: "Just to clarify, Obama's attended a Christian church for the last 20 years"
Ignorant/Racist Hillbilly Woman: "It doesn't matter, I got an email that said he's a Muslim."

Incredible.. Roll Eyes

ROFL...it made me think about Brak as well...

Maybe the storms that went through Big Mac last week carried her off and that's where she landed? I think she lives down stream from a factory or under some big power lines so if that's where the tornado's hit it could be a possability.

It's just too funny how the CONservatives can't post anything about the real issues that affect Americans. Instead of posting Their candidate's views/policies and how great those policies are, and how they will help our country prosper and unite, they just try to stir up like-minded non-thinkers with BS that doesn't matter whatsoever to people who can think outside of partisan stupidity.

Who said this? "I have not posted another because of the sophmoric nonsense that has been bantered about. I chose not to participate in such childishness."

Childishness indeed.

I haven't attempted to link him to terrorism any more than someone trying to link McCain to a fringe preacher because of an endorsement. Merely pointing out the hypocrisy. I expect it from anc because of his simplton views but not you Ed. I guess, that I have overestimated your intelligence though, for that I apologize.

So your posting an article about Hamas, a terrorist organization, endorsing Obama isn't an attempt to link him to terrorist? I'm guess I'm confused, what exactly were you attempting to prove with this article? Were you pointing out the differences you have with his voting record and just didn't quite pull it off or what? Now who's playing simpleton IDF?

You claimed your point was "pointing out the hypocrisy".

What hypocrisy do you feel you pointed out? I didn't see where you did that.

As always, the liberal (and ANC) all cry foul when a relatively unknown right wing nut endorses McCain, yet when one of the largest terror groups in the world endorses their candidate it is "no big deal"

Then cry when someone points out their "hypocrisy".

Well, duh.

See ya in a few months.

Thanks IDF, you have a good day too. It wasn't too hard to prove that you were attempting to link Obama to terrorist...I think we all understand where you come from.

Who cried foul? Just pointed out that the VERY POWERFUL HAGEE had to apologize for his own views.

What do you and brak think Warrior that Obama and Hamas sat down and ironed our the endorsement? that they share views or values?

McCaim sought and received Hagee's endorsement to get the votes of hagee's sheep. Obama getting an endorsement from Hamas, like the one from Farrakhan, was not sought, or accepted and is completely irrelevant the US presidential election.

Sorry Brak chased you away, it was fun being the right to your wrongs.

I remember reading about this back around the middle of April. At first
reflection, I thought...Now Senator Obama isn't going to like this too much.
Then I gave it some more thought, and...if these nuts like Senator Obama, and
can identify with him, perhaps because of his middle name, that could be a
good thing. I also remembered a girl that was simply goo-goo over me in the
9th grade, but I really didn't share her feelings, and I'm sure this is one
of those deals.

Thanks anyway IDF, for rehashing this month old article. Have you guys
already run out of new material? Razzer
