olderchick40, come join us. If for no other reason than to get to know us and eat dead mammals that will be grilled to (hopefully) perfection.

Maybe we could get you and Breeze to ride down together. We'll be needed some "third party" observers so when the results of the trap shooting are posted, you can verify that there was no.....adjusting of totals.

With my "difficult" work schedule it may be close to impossible for me to be off of work the day that you all go. (12 days on, 2 off, repeat-add rotating shifts of midnights, days, afternoons) Frowner

And....that post "I have had thoughts of getting her on a massage table myself" Kinda raises a red flag Big Grin (Remember a younger olderchick finding and "borrowing" a car with keys to escape from a party) Though I'm sure that Dave would vouch for your character. Wink

I'll keep it in mind, and if I'm not working I will "think about it" Smiler

GTDave, I was shooting trap one time with a friend of mine and when we tallied up the shots, he had had 4 perfect rounds. Now, both of us were exceptional that day and I do admit I remembered he had one if not two perfect rounds but not all 4!

When I questioned him on it...."go look on the ground and if you find one that didn't break I'll change my score."

We still laugh about that one.....

Olderchick40, after all the conversations we've had? You cut me to the quick..... Cool

"Kinda raises" a red flag isn't necessarily a bad thing. Wink (I am on day 9 of my 12 day stretch-on night shift this week-and may say/write things that can be taken two ways, my sense of humor goes a long long way)

The time is fast creeping up on us. We need to figure out a date to do this on. Some of us need to put in a 'time off request' (like me for one), and make the necessary arrangements for the 'big day'.

I'll be home tomorrow night and on Saturday, I'll see if I can contact the person in charge of one of the Mankato area 'sportsman clubs' to see about using their shooting range.

Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, the 8th or 22nd of June is fine with me.

Your thoughts??...........

Hey katomur....sleep is highly over rated some days. Razzer Wink

Either that, or there is something that inquiring minds want to find out. Big Grin

Ok, even though I normally have Sundays off, I did put in 'time off requests' for the 8th and 22nd of June..............

I did this specifically in hopes that a bunch of us will/could get together and burn some gunpowder and empty some brass, burn a few brats and have some fun.

I'll see if I can get ahold of a local 'sportsman club' tomorrow.

Hey GT...did M58 retract his offer or are you thinking its too far?

I've been out of the "loop" so I'm up for the 8th as a first choice of dates.

I no longer own a gun, I had to sell it off before i went overseas, the wife doesnt want it in the house. Otherwise i would probably stop out to burn some rounds off.

(Im more of a rifle guy, anyway)

No Sir. Since most of us that are interested in getting together for an afternoon of sniffing burnt gun powder and punching holes in targets are from within a 25 mile radius of the Mankato area, it might be a tad bit easier.

I checked the DNR website for a local sportsman club that I've shot at in the past, but there's no contact info listed. Confused Roll Eyes

I know the place still exsists, but would hate for a bunch of us to go down there and start shooting, only to have the Sheriff's Dept. and possibly the local Tactical Response Team drop by for a visit........especially since there most likely would not be any donuts available for their consumption. Perhaps we could go out to Key City? Cobb, is that available on the 8th of June...or could we reserve it?

Sorry, that would be against the rules, both club and county. Only people allowed to use the grounds are members and approved firearm safety courses.
