We need to start firing off Sharon teachers wholesale. These kids don't even know that Halloween is in OCTOBER.

I will assume your post is in jest..and say for most of these young persons, this is their 1 minute in the spotlight...I say live it up!The kids are having fun.

It's a great tradition and I hope it continues for years to come !
Thanks to all the volunteers that help on this.
I had children participate in this and it is a BIG deal for them.

I think it is a shame some people are so rude. These kids put a lot of time and money into this event and they dont need people telling them they look like they are dressed for halloween. I was at the grand march and i think all of the students looked very nice. One of my favorites is the couple in this picture

I love his shoes!

I'm so glad the weather cooperated for them last evening.

I'm not from this area - but I've NEVER heard of nor seen a 'Grand March'.

Pretty neat.

Wow, are we in trouble! We complain about the baggy pants and T-Shirts and then some find fault with something as eloquent as what I saw in the photo. When is it going to end?

I think the Grand March is awesome, something that was started years after I graduated from High School.
I think it is great these kids can show off their formal wear.
P/S I too like his shoes. Wink

People complain about kids walking in the middle of the road, too.

Oh I would hardy call blue shoes and a redneck hat "formal wear". The girls are supposed to wear the attention getting gear, not the "guys".

Ok PJ, basically what you are doing is called HATIN, pure and simple. If you don't have nothing nice to say about these kids then you should simply shut your trap and say nothing. Were you a hit when you went to the prom or did you even go?

Sorry....I was boring and wore a black tux and a black tie...no HAT....so I wasn't HATIN, you could say. (Kids have the silliest slang)

I just think you should dress nice for prom; the carnival was in the other direction.

People like you are the same ones that wonder why kids of today have no respect for you. I have no doubt that had they dressed in tuxes and formal gowns like we wore in the 70's - you would have had something just as nasty to say!

As a mother of two teens just a couple of years away from their own proms, I can't wait to spend the money and send my kids out looking so nice.

BTW - I love the shoes also!
