I'm always venting somewhere or someone is venting to me so I thought we need a place to vent on here!

I'll start it off:

Why do dentist try to hold a conversation with you when they are cleaning your teeth or drilling in your mouth?? It makes no sense! The other day I was at the dentist and while injecting my gums with the deadening stuff she asked me what kind of music did I like. I couldn't say a word since I had this huge needle in my gums along with the water squirter thing and the suction tube too! I just sat there. And she asked me again! I just looked at her. Finally when everything was out of my mouth I answered her but I really wanted to say why are you asking me questions expecting me to answer while you are working in my mouth?? They always talk to me while cleaning or drilling or whatever and I just sit there. Whta's up with that? Good grief! Razzer

I am crying from laughing so hard at this. As you know I have been at the dentist once a week for the past 5 weeks dealing with this abscess! but, it always seems that dentist think this is the PERFECT time to "get to know you..."..

I know this was you venting but, thanks for the laugh!! Razzer

It doesn't bother me that my dentist talks to me while workin on me..LOL.

Speaking of dentists, my dentist's office burned here in Decatur last night. Apparently due to an electrical fire. They had been having A/C problems all week.

I'll add one to that. What is it with Doctor's offices having tv's in them. When I'm not feeling good the last thing I want to hear is some tv blaring.

Maybe it's just me.

Confused

My dentist has tv's in all the rooms where they work on you. They are on CNN. I agree about them talking the whole time. It reminds me of the skit that Bill Cosby use to do on his Comedy Show. Eeker

I love Dr. Thompson. She is great!!!!!! We actually met when our daughters took swimming lessons together a few years ago. She makes my 7 year old feel so comfortable that she won't even let me go back with her when she gets fillings. Smiler

I'll vent for sure!

Some of these people out in the Collinsville area, really need to learn what a speed limit is. Some of the bus drivers do too. It really concerns me that people come through here doing anywhere from 60 to 70 miles per hour in the mornings when kids are standing at the edge of their driveways awaiting a bus. I am not the only parent raising cane about it either.

My sister was driving down a road out here this morning doing about 50 in a 45, she said a few people came around her like she was sitting still. This kind of driving is not necessary. These people wont be worried about being late anymore when they hurt or kill themselves or someone else!

In honor of Venting about Collinsville, peps.. I really dont want to give a bad rep to our little town.. However, there is a group of "Punks" (and they might NOT be collinsvile) related however, the acts of these people are afecting me and my community.

MAILBOXES.. these people are knocking over mailboxes all over the place. Down Wildcat Road, I would bet there is 15 mail boxes down.. and not just the box, the whole wooden stand is laying on the ground!

Not only is this a felony but, it is wrong! I have no tolerance. After speaking to another person and forum friend some of these mailboxes belong to elderly couples.. these people barely can get out to their mailbox to check their mail.. much less have to worry about putting a new one up....

UGHHH... I am so aggrevated about this! Mad

I would like to vent a little.
I have to go to the bank on northhills everyday about 5pm. It never fails someone in a (yukon, experdition, suburan, or large diesel truck) pulls up beside me when I'm trying to pull out onto northhills going toward 39n. You can go left or right and I'm usually in the left lane. I drive a small economy car so I can't see past or over the larger vehicles. So if you drive one of these larger vehicles think about us smaller ones. I was sitting in waiting first. Thanks for letting me vent.

As far driving to fast in Collinsville I'm quilty. I try not to pass because it's just to dangerous. But I'm always aware of the children and slow down even if I'm late.

Now getting past Reids in the morning that another nightmare.

OK. My turn! How easy do you think it is to get three children ranging from ages 1 through 6 1/2 in the pouring rain or blazing heat from the Walmart parking lot to the store? Try holding an umbrella with a baby in your arms while trying to hold hands with a toddler. FORGET IT! That's a feat in itself. Well, I need one of those buggies that seat 2 kids. At the "old Walmart", they will not keep those inside where the regular buggies are. They keep them outside in the left corner of the building...in the pouring rain and blistering summer heat. The seats are so hot they would literally burn a childs legs. Not to mention trying to hold an umbrella, put a baby in the seat, put a 3 year old in, and buckle everyone up...in the pouring rain. I have vented my frustrations about this to FOUR different managers, even took one and made him put his hand on the seat to feel how hot it was. They all give me the same PR crap answer. So far absolutely nothing has changed. I am tempted to call one to help me put the kids in one the next time it is pouring down rain! ARRRGGHHH! Mad
