I am sorry I have not been on in a while to tell y'all how everything is, but as y'all know I had back surgery. It has been very hard on me since the surgery. Most days I have been in a severe amount of pain, and just not able to sit at my computer.

I have been going to physical therapy and let me tell ya, I hurt so bad afterwards that I have to come home and go to bed. I am told that it will get better and that I have to have it. Lucky me, lol. I will be alright, I guess I am just being a big baby right now.

My step-dad has about 5 more radiation treatments and I don't know how much longer he has to take the chemo meds. He will soon have surgery, and we hope all of the cancer can be removed. Bless his heart he is in pain and stays so sick. Sometimes it is hard for him to even eat. He feels lucky that he has only lost a little hair and it is not really noticable.

He told me the other day that he has a strong will to live and that he is going to beat this thing. I am so glad to see him keep his determination alive.

I will try my best to post more often, but when I can't maybe my little sister can. She joined the forum recently.

I was just roaming the halls and came across your story bout your surgery. I had three car accidents inside of 16 months, back in 95. Have wrestled with back pain ever since, so I can appreciate what you're going through.

Hello all, I hope everyone is doing alright.

Today was a physical therapy day for me, and my back aches like heck. Thankfuly I am almost done with the therapy. Those guys at the therapy dept and everyone I have delt with at Rush have been so very wonderful to me. I really appreciate it to.

I do not have any updates on my step dad right now. I just want to thank everyone that has been praying for him, and ask y'all to keep praying.

I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Hey big sister. I did not know if you were going to feel like getting on the computer today, so I thought I would post that Dad had his last radiation treatment this morning. He has been very sick from the chemo pills and hurting pretty bad from the radiation. I also want to thank everyone that has been praying for my Dad. M y sister has told him about all of you wonderful people praying and he has faith that god is going to see him through this with a good outcome.

Today has been a rough day for me. I have been hurting pretty bad. I could not even sleep last night for the pain. The meds help some, like now, I have eased up enough to be able to sit here for a little while. I just don't understand why I would still hurt this bad.

The Dr. did say that I would still have pain since I have 2 herniated disc, and he could not do much for those. Also I have degenerative(sp?) disc desease.

I have talked to several people that have had the same type of surgery that I did, and some say it helped them a lot, some say they are no better or actualy worse than before.

I have a great Dr. and I know he has done everything he can for me. I just have to trust that God will bless me further.

LadyAJ, I am truly so very sorry that you are struggling.

You know, I had surgery in March...

I now have a titanium plate in my spine and there are some things that just are not going to move with ease anymore....actually the older I get there are a lot of things that will not move with ease anymore!

But when you have an invasive surgery it can stir up a lot of things...especially where our nerves, muscles and joints are concerned.

You continue to take things easy, dear. Be careful and don't over do...God will do the rest.

Yada, I am just now seeing your post. I feel ashamed that I did not know about your surgery. I hate that you have had to go through that. You are certainly in my prayers. Now I know why I don't have the pleasure of seeing you around much anymore.

I am lucky, My boys and my little girl wait on me hand and foot most of the time, my husband has done most of the cooking. They have all pitched in on housework.

I have taken it easy for a few days now. Monday and yesterday were tough, I was in so much pain I could hardly walk. I had to call the doc, and thought I was going to have to go to the ER. As much as I don't like them, I am taking those pain killers.

I wish I had an update on my step dad. All I know is that he had a Dr.s appt this afternoon. I did not get a chance to call them tonight, Mom had to go to work. Maybe I will have some news tomorrow.

LadyAJ have just now found this link. Iv poked around alot here. Like reading your post. Hope all goes well with your back, hubby had surgery about 20 years ago. It does get better. Hope al goes well with your step dad. Ya'll will be in my prayers.
