Yesterday ABC News covered the partying going on at the GOP Convention while Cindy and Laura were pretending that the GOP had cancelled all celebratory events in honor of the victims of Gustav.
"...ABC correspondent Brian Ross reported on several of the more flamboyant revels, including one Saturday night GOP party in honor of the convention president where pink spotlights, pink boas, and pink wigs were the order of the day. When Ross tried to corner Republican officials and ask them about the appropriateness of partying as Hurricane Gustav threatened New Orleans, they either fled, hid behind their pink boas, or simply shrugged and said, "Everybody goes through hard times." Even after John McCain announced that the convention was being toned down, the National Rifle Association, Lockheed Martin, and the American Trucking Associations sponsored a Sunday night party at a downtown bar -- with a band called "Hookers and Blow" -- hosted by former Tom DeLay aide Glenn LeMunyon. GOP House Deputy Whip Bill Shuster was there at a table of lobbyists and Capitol Hill staffers and told Ross, "I have no hesitation" about coming to the party, adding that the lobbyist he was sitting with "is a friend of mine, I've known him for twenty years." Despite the glitz, concluded Ross, "this was all about business -- the behind-the-scenes business of influence and power..." |

What a spun article. It has nothing to do with John McCain at all. At this point it isn't about hating democrats or republicans, its about who can do the better job... regardless of if they look pretty in pink.

The report was from ABC. It shows what was going on behind the curtain of propriety that the GOP Convention designers tried to portray to the nation last night. This isn't about hate. It's about looking at the men behind the curtain. The same men and corporations who have played the voters like a piano for 8 years. |

IF YOU KNEW YOUR HISTORY THAT QUOTE "LET THEM EAT CAKE" WAS NEVER SAID BY MARIE ANNOTNNETTE BUT MADE UP BY PROPAGANDASTS TO ENRAGE THE PEOPLE OF PARIS AGAINST THIER LEADERS. LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE DOING THE SAME. SO I GUESS IN A SMALL WAY HISTORY DOES REPEAT ITSELF.

But, the reality exists.
Hookers & Blow were the entertainment at a lobbyist party for GOP Convention delegates while Cindy and Laura were doing their "we're here for the victims of Gustav" routine. ABC News filmed it. Lots of drinking. Lots of laughing. Lots of influence. Lots of powerplayers. No donation bin for Gustav victims. That's the GOP way. |

Remember the Clintons talking about the "Politics of Personal Destruction?"
The R's went after them like they were Satan incarnate....Millions of dollars spent and not a freakin thing except Billy Boy got a BJ. The the D's said, "we'll never go there" Now all of a sudden, being 17 and pregnant is more important than jobs, education, welfare, the economy AND national security. I was leaning towards Obama but I'm beginning to change my mind. Perhaps all of them (and most of us) need to go back to finishing school and learn how to be nice. I'm so sick of the "knockout punch" mentality that Canada is starting to look pretty cool. NOTE TO anyone paying attention: STOP the bickering and let's get the job done. America is in the toilet and somebody has their hand on the flush handle. |

Wasn't Obama the one who actually admitted to doing "blow"? But all we hear about is Todd Palin's DUI (who isn't running for office) when he was 22. Doing "blow" or having too much beer one night? you be the judge.

You mean that FOX NEWS and the moonie-owned Washington Post or Drudge ignored Democratic Delates partying with a band called Hooters & Blow? I think not. But, more importantly, it was McCain who asked that the Convention delegates focus on the disaster that was expected and to be subdued. Cindy and Laura asked the same. And while they were wearing their "American" hats on stage, their deligates were wearing their "Republican" hats as they partied and bartered influence and power with lobbyists. |

No the dems partied with Bill which meant one wild and crazy night. Stained dresses for all the women. And it was paid for by George Soros. But, more importantly, it was McCain who asked that the Convention delegates focus on the disaster that was expected and to be subdued. Cindy and Laura asked the same. And while they were wearing their "American" hats on stage, their deligates were wearing their "Republican" hats as they partied and bartered influence and power with lobbyists.[/QUOTE] if you check your talking points Biden in the past has said that there is nothing wrong with lobbyists. |
