This is Tim Dose who graduated from CHS probably in 73. His older adopted brother was A.J. "Coach" Hanifan from LJHS. I knew him and his family from going to Lyons and CHS with him. Very sad. It sounds like he accomplished alot.

Chisuburbs - you're right, it's so sad and Tim was too young. I knew his older "brother" Coach very well, and one of his other brothers, Brian too. Such a loss for his family and friends, and the community he worked in.

I was fortunate to meet and talk with Tim several times over the past few years. He was always willing to talk, offer advice, and he was a pretty funny guy too. And, he still cared about his hometown and talked fondly of it and the great prospects for our future. Yes, a very sad loss for North Scott and education in Iowa in general. My sympathy and prayers to Tim's family. He will be truly missed.

I feel bad for his mom, losing her husband, Coach, and Tim so soon. Also losing Brian so soon. He was a good friend of mine. A super nice family.

I need a life...I'm guessing, but I think it's been at least 10 years (or close to it) since Brian passed away.

Probably longer. I believe he had AIDS, and unlike a lot of others who died from this, he had a very supportive family. But how could you not love Brian?

ahh... then that is a different Brian Dose than I knew/know. I looked for the obit, but couldn't find it. thank you for the explanation, I was a little concerned, about my friend whom I haven't spoken to in a while.

Sounds like he was a very nice man, I am glad to hear his family was supportive of him. It would be nice to see that in all families; even when one is not in poor health... not enough of that these days.

My heart goes out to the Dose family in this trying time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dose family on Tim's death. Their family members are tremendous people, good friends, caring, responsible, and devoted to their faith and family. Brian died in July of 1993, also way too young. Rest peacefully, Tim, old friend.
